Thanks, guys, very enjoyable chat. I'm 12 weeks AF and feeling much better for it, with an 8kg weight drop...also exercising a lot more, so directly/indirectly from quitting. Anyway, thanks again, and your Friday after work story...same same! 🤦♂️

@matthewkerrison4735 it does, although now have a new marmalade on toast breakfast, and afternoon chocolate HobKnob issue/problem to resolve! Neither of which I had when drinking!! 🤦♂️😂

Another great topic guys , the weight thing is real - 8 months in and I’m about 2.5 stones lighter and I am still not a small eater - it’s amazing how much booze influences bad eating habits and plies on the weight . since quitting I rarely have fry ups and like you say I make good good choices and feel better for them . . The fomo but has been interesting too and I took some advice you gave a few months back abd have taken up some hobbies , abd now if me and my wife go ro the pub (she still drinks a few drinks ) she knows I can only do a few hours before I’ve had enough - not in a bad way but I’m at the point where. I’m bored and want to go home . She understands this afte I explained how I felt and supports me - in fact she is just about to read the chapter of man gets sober smfircthr partner of the quitter . Keep up the good work guys 🙏 Nick

I'm currently doing Sober October and thoroughly enjoying it. I'm considering it a practice run for something bigger when I'm ready.

That’s the way to start! Get some non-drinking time under your belt, feel and see the difference and then make the move to stopping altogether. If that’s the way you want to go. You’ll be amazed at how life changing it is!
