That's a superb buy! Plus your microwave looks really good too, a essential item for me cooking my daily porridge and meals etc, least both items save on electricity

Thanks. They both cost under £100 and work well. A conventional electric oven takes longer and uses more power, so with these it's much quicker. I have always avoided cooking meats in the microwave because it doesn't look good or taste good. Once most people have an air fryer, I can see no future in cookers with ovens being sold and the worktop induction hob is brilliant with saucepans for cooking large veg.

That's a great buy and I might treat myself to an Air Fryer at that price. The chicken looked yummy.

Hurry, when it's gone.....so they say. That chicken cooked perfectly and was the best I've tasted in a long time. I really wasn't expecting that to be so good. Next to try are my favourites, fish in breadcrumbs or batter. It's a game changer for sure, with less cooking time and less power. If the food packaging doesn't mention air fryers, then Google the food cooking time and temperature for air frying.

@@mmwaashumslowww7167 thank you for the good tips. I bet the fish will cook good to. My microwave broke a while ago and yet to replace, so looking out for a good basic one. My old one lasted 10years and was a cookswork under £50 so definitely don't need to spend a fortune.

@@lisastives1148 You can get microwaves for around £60 or less in asda. They will do the usual things of heating food or liquids and unless you want one that sings and dances its way through gourmet recipes, then that's what you need. Do you remember the early days of microwave chips in a carton? The carton was lined with some coating that made the chips brown. The air fryer will do that properly and you can use any type of chips that you want.

@@mmwaashumslowww7167 oh yes I remember the microwave chips and I think you can still buy them in Iceland. Yes a simple microwave is what I'm after. Definitely going to Air Fryer hunting this week. 👍

My wife has got an Air Fryer, you can cook chicken, sausages and chips in it. But I don't have a clue how it works though 🙂

You the can do all that and more and it's very tempting. I did manage to look and see how it works and apart from the fancy digital heat controller, its a spiral ring element situated above the tray and the fan blows air through it. All the controller does is adjust the heat element and fan speed depending on how its set to cook. Without the controller though, foods would ei

My tablet is playing up. I was trying to add, without the controller foods would either be burnt or underdone. This tablet i am using is 5 years old and showing troublesome operating. When it's done, then it's for the bin.

At that price it's a good starter model to see how you get on with air fryers. And can always upgrade at a later date if need too.

I will try not to make a habit of using it often and hopefully use it until it needs replacing much later. The bigger ones with two trays are not that expensive but people that have them, seem to be eating more than without one. It's an occasional use thing for me, as I don't want my belly getting any bigger.

I bet the metal scrap merchants will do well with the unwanted cookers, now that everyone is getting these. Are there any others on the park that have any? Not an expensive outlay, even for a larger top brand one.

Absolutely right, I saw one in lidl yesterday for £45 and thought that it wasn't a bad price compared to others that are more. I was passing Aldi, so I thought let's see if they do any. Great bargain and it looks and feels well made.

@@twowrights7945 Yes it's amazing value for money and they all seem affordable whatever the capacity or make. Lidl have some but £15 dearer and only slightly bigger, so as I was passing Aldi I thought that I would have a look. Hopefully, it should last a while because I will only be using it at the weekends, as I eat out while working during the week.
