Today Campbell reviews two white wines from the Aldi Exquisite Collection. The first is a Muscadet Sevre et Maine sur Lie, from the Loire Valley in France, available for £5.69. The second is a Marsanne from the Languedoc region of France, available for £5.99.
The Muscadet isn't just one of the longest wine names in the world. It's a top tip for something new to look out for and try. It's made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape and worth a look either from Aldi or elsewhere. This one gets a WES rating of 9!
Marsanne is one of our favourite grapes and worth keeping an eye out for. This is a fine example, from winemaker Jean-Claude Mas of Domaine Paul Mas fame. At this price, it's a big WES 10 for this wine!
