The post Chopin pre Rachmaninoff prodigy. I'm in love with this.

Just curious, where did you find this recording? I can't find any more information on the performer at all, although i'd certainly like to.

0:03 - 0:10 sounds incredibly familiar, but I can't put my finger on the piece. Has anyone got any ideas.

Same here. Could it be similarities with Rachmaninov's E flat major prelude?

It is definitely reminiscent of Rachmaninoff. It reminds me of some moments from his Piano Concerto No. 2 (esp. in the first and last movements)

Aleksander, not Aleksandr. Aleksandr is russian name, and Michałowski was not a russian but a Pole.
