This was the first time Nishikori played against de Minaur. Although Nishikori wasn't fully prepared for de Minaur's style in the first 2 sets, he successfully changed his strategy and made a great difference.

the way nishikori finishes off this point at 18:00 is like he was in an anime XD
De Minaur and Nadal are the only players with two-handed backhands that I really enjoy watching. (apart from crazy trickshotters like Monfils, Kyrgios and Brown, on a good day)

Kei is quick but Alex is quicker! He beat nishikori at his own game - speed tennis! Fun to watch!!

Nishikori played all his tennis back in 2014. He is done. And Deminaur is not exceptional. He is decent enough but that is it. If he is serious enough may be things can change

He is most definitely serious enough, which explains why he runs down every single ball like there's no tomorrow, else he'd be clowning around like nick.
Alex needs to improve his ball direction, if he just bats them mindlessly 50% of the time then he'll lose to the likes of Federer, Dimitrov, and Wawrinka who are particularly adept at angle shots.
