Virgo loved Alex Higgins. So did many of us. How many players today could have potted that pink and black?! Simply outstanding.

Higgins potting level was unreal when the form hit him, I just think that the fan pressure down through the years got to him and then Jimmy because I think they'd have won so much more if not for that and the drink and drugs.Either way Higgins will be a snooker legend forever.

Most amazing he says is he's going to put the black in the middle one handed, with about 4 or 5 balls to go, and he screwed up position on the pink, and still does what he said he would with the black, brilliant!Yeah we could pot the pink and black on a good day, but watching those colours go down along with what he says is brilliant!

The most naturally gifted player ever, the closest since Alex would be Ronnie O'Sullivan... I wonder though, how well could he have played, and how much greater could he have become, if he had remained sober... Another great sports personality whose career, and eventually his life, was blighted by alcohol...
