@Brisdad53 perhaps what I mean to say is the furniture is beautiful but the paint, flooring and extraneous decorations are terrible. Apparently Andrew Jackson had bad taste, and I understand it's of the period but I cannot believe it was that badly decorated in the time it was used.

I think there were several 'Wow!' factors there, it is only right that Mr Sharp is described as an artist. I’m very new to woodworking, but something that does seem to be coming across is the respect Americans have for present day woodworkers. We Brits appreciate the furniture, especially if there is some antiquity involved, and of course people from the past like Chippendale, but modern day woodworkers? I doubt very much if the man in the street here would get much past Viscount Linley if asked to name any and that’s only because of who his mother was. In America though they seem to get the respect their work deserves as very skilled and talented craftspeople and artists. A beautiful video, thank you for posting it.
