I loved my Schneider Skink back in the day, he was an awesome pet and definitely not the same size or coloration as this Berber skink. I got him at a pet store in the 90s as a juvenile and had him for 8 years. Fabulous animals, skinks.

Hi great video very informative, sub added. I have a question I wonder you can answer? I'm in UK and I've got a Schneider skink. I can't seem to find a definitive answer on how these guys get their water. I've never actually seen my skink drink from a bowl. Do you think they get their moisture content from humidity/insects would you say? Or is their evidence that they use water sources other than that. I'm just trying to set his enclosure up as naturally as possibly is the reason I ask. Thanks
@ReptileMountainTV
5 жыл бұрын
Many reptiles do get their water intake via their prey or food items. I'm certain that is in part the case for E. schneideri. I would place a water bowl in there to be safe. I've witnessed my E. algeriensis drinking from a water bowl so we know the closest species to it does.

@@ReptileMountainTV awesome thanks, I've made sure he has a little bowl of fresh water in there at all times so maybe he'll use it at somepoint, and if he doesn't I guess at the very least the stray crickets in there will be nice and hydrated! Thanks for your help
