EDIT: "Oh and if you didn't figure out after you made this video yet, you can move those modules around like you wanted to by dragging them in the Routing Section and you can option-drag a module there to duplicate it with every setting on the module copied over to the dup but not the cabling (which you usually wouldn't want to duplicate exactly." Thanks Ryan

I agree! Algoritm is favorite synth we've done in a long time, and I've been a fan of Complex 1 and Friktion but Algoritm really is next level! I miss the tutorials I've made too! I'm lobbying hard to get permission (and time, really) to make more of that stuff. Stay tuned on that front! :)

You can rearrange the operator positions in the routing window, by drag and drop - the changes will be reflected in the main window CTRL click deletes an operator ALT click copies an operator and settings to a new position.

Right! I used to think they were the best tutorials on KZitem back in the day! I would recommend them to people even if they used another DAW.

Keychron! I have a couple of their K4's. What is that all black keyboard you're using?

I love the Keychron keyboard! It's a Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S49. I think the all black version was a special edition they did.

Thanks for another great video. :-) As you are a long time Reason user, I'd love to hear your thoughts on MPE. I think many of their instruments, especially Friktion and Algoritm, would benefit greatly from being MPE enabled. I haven't bought either yet as I'm still trying to decide whether to go Plus or stick with 11 Suite and invest in Bitwig, and I'd prefer to know more about 12 before the Plus deal expires at the end of April. Do you think they will add MPE soon, or is it likely to be more difficult to implement for Reason, compared to other DAWs? Thanks.

Thanks man 🙏🏻 appreciate you checking it out! I think MPE is awesome but have never really had the chance to check it out myself. I honestly don’t know if they plan to add it anytime soon. I’m not sure how hard it would be to implement from a tech perspective. They have been slow with certain updates in the past so they haven’t got a great track record in that department.. I’d wait as long as possible before deciding. Hopefully we get some more info on 12 soon! 😬

I'm getting into using the Reason Rack Plugin in Reaper. It's very nice. I would love to just use Pure Reason though. Reason DAW and rack. I really really they make just a couple improvements in the DAW, ie Folders, Track manager, keyboard short cuts, SSL mixer folders.

I know what you mean. I never wanted to switch away from Reason as a DAW. It will be interesting to see if people come back to it if they do make the improvements.

Most of these sounds are possible with Thor and mixing stuff in a combanator. I take combonator patches by 3rd party's from reason and some of them are insane and I just change those to suit My needs.

Yea, it'd be interested to do a deep dive on the FM capabilities of Thor vs Algoritm. Unfortunately, I'm not enough of a synth expert to really do that topic justice but I'd be super interested in the results!

@@matthewstuartnz Well dont know much apart from a bit of history on how synth came about. Europa for example has some very advanced synth mutation abilitys due to being able to mutate the input sine wave. I think it's a bit over kill and not really needed.
