I had to change the Streaming Media Protocol to 'Protocol 3' in order for the app to work for me and my customer's family. Couldn't find any information anywhere about what this setting actually does and why the default doesn't work and had to change it to this. Cost me an hour figuring this out.

Can individual cameras use the P2P or must it go through a recorder device?

Yes. Individual Vigilant IP cameras do have the option to use P2P on their own. No recorder needed.

In your video you have the option to “add without sign up” but that option does not show up on my NVRs. Is there a way to allow add without sign up or do i have to have each user make a separate account and share the device?

That option has been removed with the latest firmware updates. When using "add without signup" your devices(DVR/IP Cameras) would not be eligible for important P2P firmware updates. Keeping your devices up to date on firmware is key for smooth performance and also allows you to receive new features as they are released.

How may you reinstall the camera? When I try it says it is already registered (22). Thanks!

It seems that your device may have been registered/added to a different account. If you go to Menu>Network>P2P, you should see a "Delete" option. Select that and then try to re-add the device to your P2P account. If you still need assistance, please reach out to our technical support team!
