I slowed right down to get a clear view and only pulled away when I saw a vehicle coming up behind me in my rear-view mirror. The ears were rounded as I could see at least one of them from the back. I could not see the face because it was facing in towards a sheep netting/hedge field boundary, probably looking for a way to get through. It had a long tail which went down into the grass and came up again with a tassle on the end. As it was walking, with it's head pointing in towards the hedge/sheep netting, its rear paws came up out of the grass. They were very big in relation to the animal itself when compared to a domestic cat@@S.Trades

Look simply at the cuts on his face, Domestic cat? The cuts that far apart and in single cuts? whilst being parallel? No chance! There is over 2000 reports of big cats in the UK each year! You could dismiss some, sure. But when there is photo evidence, video evidence, prints, fur, typical big cat kills, farmer, land owners and park rangers coming forward. Confirming these things. Maybe it's time you actually use your brain. I'm a professional mountain guide from North Wales, I have seen strange things in the hills. In my job you meet a lot of people from all over the country that spend a lot of time in the outdoors. Many of which claim to have seen big cats, close up too! All by chance. These haven't been 'nutters' or such. All credible sources. People that are trained in the outdoors as well as ex military that are trained observers. The guy in the video explained how they would have come to be in the country. It's the worst kept secret in the outdoors. I’m not sure if I believe this, but I’m pretty sure we do have big cats around. I don’t expect anyone to believe me but when we were younger we always saw large cat paw prints near a local stream in the middle of farmers fields. One day we were playing down there and we heard a deep noise from the tree above, everyone knew it was a big cat but no one stopped to look we all ran. We had also seen what we thought to be a big cat in the surrounding fields at another date. My friends dad was paid to shoot on most local farmers land and it was a known thing to them that if they shot a big cat the reward was £10,000 not that he ever did to my knowledge. We weren’t silly kids and knew the difference from a cat print to a dogs and the difference in a big cats sound to a donkey/cows or sheep. Although I've seen a Black Panther myself in Abergele, North Wales in 2004-2006 I doubt this youth was scratched by one as their claws are like razors, his skin is way less durable than that of an sheep etc and there's been documented evidence of sheep maulings by big cats in the UK and they do an horrific amount of damage with one swipe of their paw. Had this lad been clawed by a big cat his face would have been opened like an orange and the skin would have been torn to the bone. Likely his own cat scratched him or he fell into some brambles etc. Also with big cats being so elusive its normally but a fleeting glimpse that you get of them if up close or one from afar like my own sighting. @@S.Trades Jeez I had to rewatch the video again as I posted that comment 6 years ago lol. Judging by the length of the scratches it's difficult to imagine a big cat doing that without causing a lot more damage. Also from the scenario he described any big cat would have heard or saw him long before he got anywhere near it, at which point any attack would be more deliberate than panicked. A horse or a cow has much thicker skin than a human face, and if you look at the alleged attacks on cows or horses the damage tends to be quite significant.
@S.Trades

@@Skullet so you think it's impossible? Yes how he got close to it, I can't explain. Maybe the cat thought it was well hidden. Maybe the wind was blowing the wrong way, masking scents/sounds. Maybe the cat was focused on something? Maybe it was injured in some way? But it isn't the only "genuine" attack by a big cat. I'm not 100% on this but I'm inclined to believe it because of the evidence from witnesses afterwards, ie his friends/family.

Think again. Those scratches happened between his leaving his friends and then running back (in a panic) to warn them. How did they happen? Are the 4 of them lying? His mother believes him. The police who arrived, believed him. There's (before and since) been multiple sightings in that area. All the evidence points one way.
@Skullet
9 ай бұрын
@@S.Trades I wasn't there so I can't tell you how the scratches happened, but personally I feel that it's highly improbable they were caused by a big cat. Only one of the kids claimed to have seen the cat, so the other 3 wouldn't be lying as they didn't actually see anything to lie about. Should we accept things as fact because someone's mother or the local police believe it? That seems like a pretty low bar. The multiple sightings could be a case of confirmation bias, regardless without any actual proof or physical evidence they don't really carry much weight. There have been big cats killed or captured in the UK, but those were mostly cats that were released into the wild due to a change in the law around 1976 or ones that escaped from zoos etc, any cats released around 1976 have been dead for about 3 decades. Most of the confirmed cases are in Scotland and England, as far as I can tell only a single case was in Wales and it was a pair of escaped jaguars which were caught after a day.

Application of Locard's Exchange Principle as well as the Application of the Simons Test. Then we have Dr Luke Hunter of Panthera (well respected) & Dr Alan Rabinowitz, as well as Dr Graham Law as well as Prof McDonald, and so on who disagree completely and have shown this in the Black Beast of Exmoor Documentary. Until there is fact and proof then this myth will continue as a crank subject. Even Mark Fraser said it was a crank subject before he closed down BCIB.

"A spokeswoman said: "None of the sightings of big cats have ever been confirmed and the evidence of all the sightings we have been asked to look at has either been unsubstantiated or has been attributed to other causes."From time to time big cats do escape from zoos or other collections and are usually recaptured very quickly. We are confident that there is no breeding population of big cats in this country." natural england

What utter nonsense. Natural England always deny that there are big cats in Britain. Thousands of witnesses know otherwise. Ask any Police Force in the UK. They will tell you otherwise. Even Police patrols see them occasionally, right across the UK.

The black panther IS NOT related to leopards. It is actually A JAGUAR, the dark colored fur comes from melanin, but it is the exact same specie.

A black jaguar is a panther. A black leopard is a panther.

Despite the usual dross from others saying that big cats frequent railway lines, really? Since when do cats read train time tables...? Saying that zoo keepers and the lady in the monster quest documentary taking about what is and is not a big cat. She never "forced" her opinion on anyone. Unless these UK big cat crypto groups and groupies can come up with real hard science fact and truth, showing that such mythical cats do exist. breeding and wild, then sadly they have no reply. No big cats...
