I am an Air Force vet and so admiring of how inspiring Alina is to all prospective young flyers, especially female. In my day we didnt have females at all as pilots or engineers. Towards the end of my service they started to arrive, which pleased me and many others who wanted to see true equality for women in all roles. Her father William is such a valuable tutor and mentor for her and I hope to see her one day entering the Air Force. Then she will get a chance to fly so many aircraft like the T-6 Texan II, Harvard maybe, F18 and so many more. Clear skies and tailwinds Alina - the stars are the limit for you. Great video thank you all. Take care.

I can even speak, I've loved aviation all my life, at 14 going on 15, being in SC and knowing about the aerolite 103, an aircraft I've dreamed of. my first introduction to aviation was my grandfather, who gave me an old flight stick and a very old game, I was hooked. then moved right next to a US Airforce base, had f-16s and c-130s flying low overhead, flight shows and museums all boosted my love for flight, bought and read a pilot's hand manual at 8, and was intrigued, Angle of attack, dihedral (I've forgotten most of the things that stumped me :(.) Thats because one I realize my parents couldn't get me a plane, and at the time not even an RC one. Speaking of RC, FliteTest Was a HUGE inspiration, while I couldn't buy a kit, I would cut, fold, and glue cardboard into airfoils. And Two I had fallen for cars, as I could realistically get one in the near future. Still Miss the idea of flying, But haven't given up, About to go beg my parent again, a club? Training Gounds? Any thing to connect me to flight again. I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU ALINA!

She's obviously very comfortable flying that aircraft now -- her takeoffs and landings are both quite smooth, as she looks to be in full control during a flight -- I'm sure that's a great feeling

Hello, Wayne. It makes me want to tell one of my most beautiful memories. It was in the Andes. The runway was at 2850 meters altitude. My Father took us to watch the Thunderbirds show, as they were flying "Phantom" F-4 by McDonnell-Douglas. They made everything, at this altitude, extraordinarily easily. They were flying at ten meters, or a little more, above the runway, for a lot of aerobatic figures. For some of them, they didn't stay above the town - I presume they, or the authorities of the land, wanted that so - they flew in the distance above the mountains, for instance, for the "flower" figure, rising to about 3800 meters. I couldn't become a pilot. It was not my Father's fault, but adverse circumstances. I never forgot this show out of the ordinary.

Hartholz 701, Thank you very much for your comments and input. Your memories of the Airshow were important to you. The Phantom F-4 was an incredible aircraft. I also have fond memories of the time I spent around them when I was in the military. Best Regards, Wayne Whitley

I am 13 going on 14 and hoping to learn paramotor and fly into Oshkosh like Alina did. She has definitely been a role model for all of the teenagers at Oshkosh and aviation as a whole. Just had one question however: would you have any tips on cross country in an ultralight at a young age? Thank you!

1) get trained 2) understand your equipment, how to inspect it, and how to maintain it. 3) plan your route to avoid congested airspace. Avoid flying over areas that would be hazardous to land or difficult for your ground support to get to. 4) find a ground support person/team
