Hi Alina, nice flight but try that old thing called GLOVES 🧤 !!!

I like the use of the helmet, much better proposition from a safety stand point to protect the most important part of the body, (Just in case)

He needs some nice soft blind leather gloves like I use when I ride my motorcycle and they will keep your hands warm as could be and you'll still have no problem grabbing the controls or feeling the controls of your craft

As a someone who rides motorcycles in all weather cold hands and feet are a constant problem especially in the colder months. Heated motorcycle gloves are a great investment as well as good solid boots with warm socks. Even a pair of thermal gloves sprayed with a waterproof solution will work very well. Wearing light wet weather gear will also keep you warm. Personally I would enclose the cockpit a bit more to cut down on the exposure to cooler temperatures and or wet weather.

You do an amazing job of flying and such a beautiful touch down. I am glad to see you have some eye protection on . Nothing worse than something getting you in the eye. Keep up the good work.

Those straps flapping free behind Alina's helmet and in front of the prop worry me.

Those straps don't get near the propeller. Thank you for your concern.

Ah, that's good. I'm surprised there isn't a screen or a panel to prevent anything coming loose from going into the prop. I suppose that would mess up the aerodynamics or performance though. Alina is a fine pilot and maintains excellent control of her A/C. Hope to see her again at AirVenture.

It's a composite propeller and is very tough. It's hit bolts and nuts with no effect. Something like a strap getting tangled in it like your earlier concern would be a problem, but like I said, I've made sure that doesn't happen.
Working around Aircraft for 50 years I think it would be a good Idea to remove any object (STRAP) from around aircraft especially taxing over the STRAP is looking for trouble Seeing the prop could pick up the strap or any foreign object and cause injury or damage to aircraft. Prior to any start up it's a good Idea to walk around and make sure there is no F.O.D around aircraft or in it's path of taxing ! (MY OPINION)

@@williamh.scottv438I enjoy your videos and look forward on seeing them and I am very pleased on her progress in aviation. I never see Alina involved in the pre-flight or post-flight inspection as she goes forward in her Career in aviation it's good to take her on the walk around ,You may do it but I have never seen her other then sitting there and you doing every thing ! I have caught many flight crews walking by and missing obvious mechanical issues on Aircraft that could of been serious if the flight took off ! I found out it's a must for the walk around even though some things can and do get overlooked ! good luck on her career !

Alina please find a way to protect your hands in cold weather. Your hands going numb from the cold isn't fun. And when you're flying in an open air ultralite, numb hands can be dangerous. If you can't feel your hands, you've also lost the feel of the aircraft. No matter what the temperature is on the ground, it's always colder the higher you go.

You can get heated gloves that will run from your battery. Im sure your dad could wire up a socket for them. Motorcyclists use them. Our extremeties get cold first so hands/ feet. You could use some Ugg boots or similar? After all they were invented for pilots back in the Orville & Wright days! You dont want to be losing control due to frozen hands - do you wear a life preserver when you go 'feet wet' over the ocean? - - take care safe flight.

It's a 360 camera only using one part of the sphere. It's a choice. I could make it more or less fish-eyed

When on the ground do you steer by using brakes on the rear wheels??
@williamh.scottv438
2 ай бұрын
No. The nose wheel turns the plane on the ground and it's connected to the rudder pedals which of course also actuates the rudder with cables. The brakes are hydraulic and are not differential (they but activate at the same time) by squeezing the handle.
