To anyone saying that he could analyse his games thanks to the eval bar: 1. He didn't just talk about first lines, he said which moves he missed, he said where his calculations ended, he mentioned lines which he thought about but the engine doesn't suggest, and talked about opening lines at the beginning 2. Watch the live commentary, they have the engine too and they aren't remotely as good at analysing the game as he is (and David Howell is a 2650 GM, so no joke either) 3. He spat lines to fast to catch up with the engine at some point 4. Firouzja has the engine as well. If Hans was incapable of analysing his games, then he should still be doing worse than Firouzja in the interview, which he's not. This just doesn't hold. The engine isn't explaining everything

@bobing1752

I don't think he can get over 2700 with this tournament. He's currently 2670 live rated. There are 6 games remaining, so assuming he plays opponents whose ratings average his he'd need to win all of the remaining games to get to 2700. That's so unlikely that we can call it impossible. Even assuming that he plays opponents who are slightly higher rated than him, then he'd need to go 5.5/6 for the remaining games. Still impossible to be honest.
