@@cptnoremac i just searched about "comma splice" cause i never heard about it and his comment looked perfectly fine to me, grammatically-wise. Grammar rules are something very regional, as you can see by his name "Leandro Viana", he is probably not from USA, i'm from Brazil and it would be at least an innacuracy to NOT use a comma there, cause here, when the sentences are "talking" about the same topic, you should use a comma although there is not clear rules to use comma in portuguese. You can't expect a foreigner (just checked his channel and he is brazilian as i suspected) to know such a specific grammar english rule, i studied english for years and i never heard about it before. But you should expect someone that make a living from chess to use right chess terminology. And if the mistake is made, you just point it out to correctly instruct the other viewers. It's not too late to learn basic strategies at any age. In the video above, Agadmator remarks that the GM "can easily calculate this" which is why he didn't play it. I am Iranian and a big fan of Firouzja and i’m glad for the chess in Iran but nationality should never play a role in enjoying the great minds. Let’s enjoy the games of all gm’s and don’t care about their nationalities. I am glad that Firouzja went to live in France so that he could play freely in every tournament that he likes and is available to him. But i can also understand that many of us Iranians are extra proud of him for his nationality and that’s ok too. I am glad for the young chess playesrs who can look up to him and get better and better.
@payampourashraf4905

@@apk8340 I agree with you on most parts, especially about enjoying the games of top GMs regardless of their nationality; however, unfortunately, not everyone thinks the way we do. A group of idiots hates Alireza just because he is Iranian and started all sorts of attacks on him from day 1. It is all over the internet. For example, last year, he did not handshake with a chess player at the end of a game due to Covid's safety concerns. They posted hundreds of thousands of hateful and disrespectful comments all over the internet. Or they bombarded KZitem with their comments after he called arbiter on his controversial game vs. Magnus( The game that Magnus shouted and distracted him a few seconds to the end of the game when he was in a losing position). They put him under the microscope in order to find something from him and use it for their attack and insult.
@payampourashraf4905
2 жыл бұрын
@@apk8340 But none of these worked for them, and as their new tactic, they have been insulting him by calling him "French". They know very well that he was forced to leave his country and could see the flag of Iran on his online chess profiles. They know he is a patriot, but they have turned blind eyes on all of these and started a dirty game on him to distract him, and we should not let this happen. Calling Alireza French is an insult to him and should be stopped right away, and it just came out of the mouth of his haters. It is against his beliefs and values, and it is not fair to this kid. We need to support the new generation like Esipenko, Aryan Tari, Alireza, and Duda. The chess world will be much better with young strong players. Believe it or not, that was my first comment ever on KZitem, but I will do it more.

if you watched Norway you should know he beat Karjakin,Nepo,Rapport and Tari in a row.Remember the beginning of Norway Chess and the huge advantage that Rapport had. Firo started in Norway slowly but ended with quite impressive performances. I believe his strategy for this tournament is a little bit wrong since he is wasting to much energy in the first few rounds. Perhaps, he will be very tired for last rounds and the most improtant battles against players like Caruana, MVL or levon. But he is playing amazingly, no doubt about this...

No think this is better strategy as far as energy is concerned He is young, this is the time for him to beat Carlson. 20-25 are best year to play chess

The constant delays in Agadmator's recent videos are not a bug, but actually a feature, intended to help viewers develop their visualization skills.
