You are the first person who knows how to explain this to a person who is new to music production. Everyone else uses terms in their explanation that need looking up and it gets frustrating. Thanks! It would be really helpful if you showed yourself applying automation in a real-life situation. For example, you could say: "I am going to show you how I am going to put an auto filter on the last two bars before the drop of my song using automation." " I only want the auto filter on the last two bars, I don't want it on the whole part." "Watch me do this and then you can do it for yourself. Just follow these steps."

I would like to know how to make, and with what ableton instrument, I can make sequences (arppegio?) like in this song. It starts at 15 sec from the start of the song. The sound I mean is a bit like a bassline.... Kind regards. kzitem.info/news/bejne/pHtq4HZveqGLpKA

Been using Ableton for a while now. Whenever I watch these types of videos I go in knowing that I'll already know pretty much everything... but it's funny... with Ableton it seems I always learn at least one new small thing that I didn't know before. In regards to this video... I had never noticed the Skew Envelope function of Automation and that's a cool little tool that will make my life easier in some instances. I also never noticed the Simplify Envelope option, which solves the always annoying issue of having to manually remove a bunch of little nodes that do nothing but get in the way. Thanks.

Hello. Loved your video and the way of explanation. I visited couple of automation videos...honestly, all of them did offer some enrichment...but this one had the highest number of enrichment bullets i mean learnings...am a novice and have been struggling with Automation...i felt your this video is going to make me feel at ease w.r.t automation in ableton...i own a Ableton 10 Intro license alongwith Live Lite 11 that came with my Focusrite 2i2 scarlet... I did not get the "Simplify automation" option in the right click menu in Parameter Menu shown by you above...any suggestions? Thanks a ton again. Pune city, India
