CHAPTER STAMPS: 1:48 Your Roaring Twenties 5:17 How I Learned Spanish 9:15 My Dating Experience

I think Wes hit some real truths here. He was spot on. I would like to add just a little of my experience. I am a major airline pilot. I am 50 years old and I have flown all over the world and have specifically been going to Latin America for 20 years. First off gentleman there are no Unicorns in life whether that’s SE Asia or South America. Obviously wealth status and game will definitely increase your odds with dating anywhere in the world but you will have a much better chance at finding better women in places like Colombia. I recommend guys to do the work on you first. Make your dent in the universe before you over pursue women. Working like I do for the Airlines can be very lucrative but start a business and trade equities if you really want to be independent. I recommend to guys not to worry so much about the girl paying or if you are paying more. This is silly and you will really look cheap and inexpensive. If you focused your time on yourself then you know that making money is much easier then trying to keep a good girl without it. So just be the ALPA and make the money and life will be easier for you in all aspects. Don’t be worried about the 50 or 100 dollar dinner or the cruise you may pay for. I view that as entertainment. I will have a much better time with a good person then doing the entertainment alone. So it is worth the investment. If guys will learn some basic truths they will have much better relationships with women. Most women are hypergamous. It’s not a bad quality it’s just built into their DNA like many men will focus on beauty. A piranha is not a bad fish because it can eat you alive in minutes that’s just it’s nature so you have to work with nature and when you as a man accept this your ability to get and secure quality women increases. If you are the “BBD” bigger better deal then you will have more options to choose from and finding a quality women increases. I also recommend dudes to work out. This is paramount. Not only do you look better but you will also increase your confidence level. This is a must if you want to keep a girl interested in you and sexually attracted. Another advice is dress up. You will notice Colombians spend time dressing nice. This should be obvious but stay away from shorts in Latin America unless you are going to the pool and for gods sake spend some money on some decent shoes and clothes. You are secretly being judged at all times so just look the part. My last advice is once you have your woman you need to have a plan to keep her. You at all times have to be the BBD. So make yourself valuable. If your out with your woman talk more freely with other women. Smile and flirt softly. Nothing makes a woman value you more then other woman wanting you. There is a fine line here of being an asshole to your woman and being accessible and friendly so lean on the side of respect to your woman. I much prefer a smart educated girl raised in a good family to the paid ones. I would avoid that scene unless you want unfortunate things to happen to you like being robbed or drugged. The last thing but very important you can be a good and nice guy but remember if you treat your woman like a celebrity she will treat you like a fan. Men do the work. Make your dent and get in shape and you will find yourself much happier with women.

@@bryangauthier1135 My pleasure to help anyone who wants to listen. Also I forgot to mention something on the paying for girls. If you are paying for entertainment a dinner or night out or vacation that is all good at least in my view and mindset. That does not mean to be taken advantage of or be a bobo. Colombian slang word. If you get a girl asking you for money or to buy her things and many times they do. You will have to set the precedent to say NO. Many people have difficulty with this especially when you hear the sob story that her mother needs to go to the doctor or her child needs medicine or someone needs to go to the dentist. I have heard them all and in the early days I was naive and didn’t know how to say no. Now I will always tell them directly when they ask with serious face. I have a personal rule that I never break. I do not loan or give money to anyone unless I have been in a serious relationship for over a year. Gold diggers will hit the road quickly while others will stay around. You will be able to pick out the quality ones after time and know which ones like you. Later when you get to know her you can make your own judgment call whether you want to help someone out or not. Good luck out there and stay safe.

I met my wife in Medellin Colombia the trick is find a girl that has a job if you find a girl that has a job nine times out of 10 that's a good girl if she has no job and she's dressed real nice and she's real pretty and her parents aren't paying for her to go to school there's probably an issue

Loved listening to this young man! I lived in California growing up and he sounds so right to me! Also reminds me of my 20s living in Mexico. I remember I got pretty fluent in 8 months....mostly so I could get the jokes! You just have to keep at the reading and listening to learn the language. Back in the day journalism provided a wonderful boost to learning good Spanish. I do not know about the newspapers now.

This was a great video, he did a good job explaining dating in Medellin, from my experience and from others who lived in Medellin, its really not a good place to find your wife , unfortunately most of the women are only interested in you financially or pay to play, their are other areas in Colombia that's is better, example Barranquilla ❤

@Euro Dude it all depends on the chica , I had one that tried to turn me into a weekend western union golfer, what I have found out is some of these women have boyfriends that tell them to hustle your money, their was a girl I was dating in Medellin, when I was in the states I would help from time to time, one day she called while she was in the hospital, she had emergency surgery, she wanted me to send money, I found out she was lying to me she had a rupture ectopic pregnancy from her boyfriend, these are type of scenarios you deal with in Medellin, all women are not bad but the good ones are very hard to find .

@@indigodream21 Yep, if you pay you will play, If you are broke just keep walking. Hold on to your money, if you do want to meet someone in Medellin make sure either she has what you have or more. example nurse, Doctor, or have goals . If she ask for money on the first date that's a red flag.

I would like to thank you How to Expat and Where's Wes for this information and content. I always enjoy the content created straight from the horses mouth. There was a part in the video at 10:44 that mentions that prostitution is legal in Colombia. In countries where prostitution is legal; there are people that willingly do, "something strange for the change." (Money for favors or barter) My question is, how does this impact the dating experiences foreigners have? Do Colombians think that it is a valid way to get through school, or pay for the children's upbringing; or are they trapped in an oppressive lifestyle that is similar to the caged bird metaphor? (Please Google, "caged bird metaphor" for a definition) I would love to see a collaboration on that topic someday, there isn't enough current, accurate, information that (politely) informs newcomers about this. All the same, great job on this video everyone very exciting and candid. Very well done. I'm rooting for everyone who is enjoying Medellin and Colombia now and in the near future.
