Completely bad advice. 1) Diabetics should eat white rice, sugar cane, raisins but cannot eat oats? Steel cuts and sprouted oats fall under the low glycemic index. White rice is one of the highest glycemic food and fails nutritionally compared to every other grain. Proper oats are processed less than white rice. 2) White rice is not completely devoid of fiber? 1 cup of cooked white rice has only .6 grams of fiber. White rice is not good nutritionally and is highly processed, all the goodness is removed from it. 3) There is absolutely nothing wrong with using an air fryer. Eating deep-fried foods is not necessary for health. Fats need to come from GOOD fats. Nuts, ghee, avocados. She is advocating people to choose deep-fried foods over using an air fryer so that they don't avoid eating too much fat? I cannot believe people listen to her, absolutely ridiculous advice.

Actually it is not so black & white. It is not so simple as she is saying. The main thing in my opinion is food with low GI. For food with low GI, The sugar are released very very slowly while digestion and so there is no spike in blood sugar. Please dont trust whatever she says. Mango doesnot increase blood sugar is the biggest crap. It has fructose! Mangoes can be eaten but in less amount so that the blood sugar stays less than 180mg. The problem with rice is also high GI so after having rice it spikes the blood sugar. But if eaten in small amount it is okay. it is not time, woman! It is the quantity. She will kill so many people with her carefree information. I m sure she doesnot have diabetes cos she is taking it so casually. Trust me, she is wrong in many of her advise but not all.

I am sorry to hear such “famous” personalities are giving wrong advice. I was a diabetic. Poha idli will spike sugar. I have a continuous glucose monitoring device and can see how blood sugar reacts. Key is to not have grains in morning but have during lunch and only one grain and portion control it. Anyone taking sugar with coffee will never reverse the diabetes. Fruits will also spike the sugar. So does not work till you reverse the disease, clear the glucose tolerance test. Taking mango does raise the sugar. Pls eat and check madam. If sugar goes over 140 pancreas kicks in with insulin and our muscles are reaistant so it impacts thr body. White rice diary and white maida wheat are the culprit. There is no data supporting your claims here. Just disappointed with rubbish.

Maam you call yourself a nutritionist but unfortunately you are not spreading correct information about food. Please dont preach that diabetics can eat whatever they want simply because it is very imp to monitor the blood glucose levels. And eating high glycemic index food will only worsen the sugar levels. Doctors and researchers are not fools to advice to take low glycemic index foods. It is imp to have a good healthy diet but please dont preach tht patients should eat everything as and when they like. Moderation is the the key point.

I saw this video today in 2023, but I have sugar issues I was advised to eat biscuits and oats etc. I used to eat oats but stopped after getting high sugar, but was eating biscuits stopped that now the sugar is coming down I usually use fresh veg and fruits except for besan, and ragi flour or rice flour I don't use anything that is in packet used to eat chips etc now reduced a lot as I make it at home now. Basically a rice eater but eat chapathi ragi chapathi etc at night. Still.the doctors are advising me to eat biscuits in the evening and not Chakli or another rice based snacks as it has more carbohydrates and as we fry in oil it has fat. But the same.doctors are.not realizing biscuit has maida which is a refined flour, butter, sugar etc which is dangerous than a chakli, sev , or bhel. I have learned to reduce the quantity which keeps me fit and light on my stomach.

White sugar is not sugarcane - alone. All the chemicals that you mentioned in biscuits, that go into making white sugar with bleaching agents. And what nutritional value white sugar has? White sugar is highly processed and made in factories. Diabetes or not white sugar is dangerous.

Knowing of agriculture does not give knowledge of nutrition. Eating white rice is fine if it is not 80% rice and only 20% veggies, that's how most people eat.

@@1871Peter yes, it's good rice. Apart from it, there is rajamudi rice from Karnataka, regular brown rice, black wild rice, which have high fibre contents. Then our ancient grains - millets, which have the highest fibre are the best option in lowering the sugar levels.

2-3 cups of tea and coffee? Who told you that ? Normally people drink 2-3 cups of coffee. Milk itself has sugar in it and adding additional sugars is not recommended. May be you shouldve suggested to reduce the number of cups of tea per day so instead of 3 times reduce it to once. Not ki bindass piyo.

Hi Rujuta, thank you for this informative video. I have type 1 diabetes from past 11 years. I have been exercising regularly from last 4 years now (4-5 times/week, mostly strength training) and my insulin dosage has reduced a lot over time Alhamdulillah. I did not use to take any oil or ghee and I faced vitamin D deficiency and massive hairfall. But after watching your content, I started taking ghee and my hair health improved and I no longer feel pain in my knees (which was due to vit D deficiency). Thanks again for sharing all that you can.

i use to follow local seasonal foods since childhood and mostly avoid packaged food .I am diabtetic since 3 yrs now and its getting worst day by day. Now a days even roti or tea without sugar is raising the sugar levels to 280 to 310. I am scared to even have any food now a days and feel hungry at any point of day.Can you help me?

Let's Learn to stick to either only english Or only hindi dear bcoz though u are kind, benefitting particularly women of yr own type only, it is not yet on de level of .... for de global audience dear.👌❣️ Hand movements are way over n' in excess; 'n voice needs 2be tempered even for non gujratis..... so that a fast indian accent sounds more normal 'n easier to grasp by all. For the first time i got emotional watching youtube...i can see a ray of hope in a hopeless freshly diabetic, high tpo, low vitamin D, low hdl, high cholesterol situation, & i am young, active, and not even fat...what you are doing is not even revolution...its a WAR that you have waged against neocolonialism...the bigger picture...

ऋजता, आपण मराठी आहात ना ! नक्की ! आपला कार्यक्रम मराठी माणसे आवर्जून पाहतात. त्यांनाही वाटतं आपण काय सांगता ते त्यांना कळावं. इंग्रजीचा अट्टाहास कशासाठी ? कमीत कमी हिंदीत बोला ना मॅडम. महाराष्ट्रातील जुनी माणसे कॉन्व्हेंट शिक्षित नाहीत मग भले ते मराठीतील विद्वान व्यक्ती असतील. जेव्हा तुम्ही फ्लूएन्टली इंग्रजी आणि कमी हिंदी आणि मराठी अजिबातच नाही असं बोलत असता तेव्हा तुमच्याबद्दल अतिशय चीड येते. नका आपल्या मातृभाषेत बोलू तुम्हाला लाज वाटत असेल तर पण हिंदीत बोला ना बाई, तुमच्या ज्ञानाचा फायदा मराठी माणसांना पण होऊ द्या ना.

You are avoiding the topic of stevia by simply equating that to sugarcane and saying don't use . But you don't explain how and why will stevia increase blood sugar in blood . Sugarcane sugar is equal to stevia ?????
