Still, so much proof constantly of top chess games being decided in middle games and even openings, take just from this tournament the Nepo King's Gambit, or the Karjakin win over Magnus. Still most classical games are "completely new games" before move 15. I'm expecting this WC to be more exciting than Carlsen v. Caruana.

I love these classical format games that end in a win, you know the players are choosing their moves with incredible precision. These games hang in the balance between winning and losing until at some point you feel the tide shift to one's favor, and those moments are unclear because it seems both players are only making sound moves. I wish my memory and visualization skills were much better so I could create such works of art on the board.

@@jonasscheuer7639 kinda right… I mean, you are right but the execution of your statement wasn’t so good. If people studied their games, studied their openings intensively, studied puzzles, and of course their end game they would be glad to see how well that transitions into playing games. So many hours of preparation goes into a GMs bullet games, much less the classical games. I hope you all who want to see the best improvement are studying the openings you enjoy and take time to look over engine analysis after every game you play, see where you can improve every time, and quiz yourself on positions you have struggled with before so it sticks with you.
