Great video as always Fonnie! I would love if you could make one detailing how you make all of your self made watering pots, including the tiny ones you use for cuttings, whenever you get the chance, and thanks again for all the amazing and super informative content that you put out.

Great idea, I agree. Just the Lechuza substrate is very costly on it’s own, plus the shipping cost to the US

The Ikea hanging planter are so nice but they don’t have any drainage. What I found useful is Ikea does plastic pots called forenlig the 12cm pot fits perfectly inside and you can take this pot out for maintenance repotting etc. what I recommend what I did if your using a very gritty substrate like succulent mix which can be heavy it will be very hard to get your fingers in to pull the pot out so what I did was drilled a hole near top of the plastic 12cm forenlig pot and used a plastic zip tie pulled it through made it into a small hook and u can then easily use something to hook onto the zip tie and lift out I use an Allen key but you can you use whatever you wish I always checked in some clay balls at the bottom as the pot does not go all the way down so it’s not sitting in water if you over watered for example, anyway hope this helps anyone thinking of buying the Ikea hanging planter just grab the 12cm forenlig pot and your good to go xx 💋

Just discovered your channel when it showed up on my feed loving your content and filming. So professional and thorough. Just wondering if you've tried fluval stratum for your cuttings? I recently bought some and I've had my Hoya cinnamomifolia in it for about a week. No new roots yet but I've heard rave reviews about how the stratum works wonderfully for those hard to root cuttings. Greetings from Canada 🍁

I’m glad you enjoyed my videos! 😊 I have heard lots of good things about fluval stratum for rooting. But Lechuza Pon works like magic for me and I’d love to use inorganic substrate to avoid bugs 😄

I think lechuza is Rolls Royce of plastic planters...it is German made by the same company who does Playmobil...the tooling for the pots must be pretty pricey but their expertise in injection molding is the best😁

Glad you enjoyed it, Jay😊 those pots on the hanging plates are DIY pots. You can check out how to make them here😀 kzitem.info/news/bejne/xGOwvaiio2difag although the pot size are different from those on the plate, you can find similar materials in your location and make them yourself 😊

@@brujalinda I can’t find this specific one now as it was a older model. But the brand is called “H2O”. If you type in H2O humidifier on the search, you’ll find the newer models. The one I used is usb chargeable, so you can have it anywhere without a cable for around 6-8 hours :)

I have some Classico LS and some Deltini’s. I am wondering if you trust the wick rope in the Deltini’s or Cubio’s? I sure wish they had cylinders like the Classico LS’s where the Pon itself goes into the cylinder and sits in the water. I feel like I trust the direct contact with the pon more than I do with the wicking rope. BTW, thank you so much for explaining the Rondo. I almost bought one, and since I own Classico LS models, I never would have thought the removable insert was the actual reservoir, and not just the inner portion. Why would Lechuza not make it like an LS is very strange. At this point, the Classico LS and the Quadro LS are the only two that are perfect designs in my opinion. I do not like the string wicks of the smaller ones, and the big ones (i.e. Rondo) being the configuration they are are also flawed, IMO.

I don’t really depend on the wick. I always water from the top even when I see water roots grow into the water reservoir. The only use of the reservoir for me, is that when I see a lot of water roots grow into the water reservoir, I will then water from the top until the water reservoir is in max. Then I’ll only water again when the reservoir is almost empty.
