This is awesome! You have nailed it! Your math slides are incredible! Your students will kick butt in math this year! Your bitmoji is a perfect representation of who you are! Your students are so lucky to have you as a teacher and you are so lucky to have what seems to be incredible students!!

Loved the video. I already have your google slides, but can you also include a template of your Eureka slides. I'm sure many other teachers would be interested in buying your slides.

I really loved this video! I think the thing that I was most amazed by was that you have textbooks and workbooks still. I’m in Ontario Canada and it has been years since we have had either. Basically we are given the curriculum, suggested long range plans from the Ministry of Education and for the most part are left to develop our own program to teach it.

Also in Ontario and really feeling this struggle. We are forced to be curriculum developers essentially!

Thank you!! What days or how do you plan them out week to week. Like do you create them 2 weeks in advance or on certain days of the week for the next week?

The math slides.. how long does it take you to get through? Once you get to the end, is math over? Trying to see if these slides would work for me

Is your school day 8am-3:30pm? Do they only get 1 lunch/play break together? Ouch.

That's the typical school day? At least in the south. I am 32 now and when I was in elementary school it was the same way.

@sheramelton3583 thanks for answering. Curious if it is the same across the US and what it is like in other countries. It's the first time I've seen a time frame for a school in another country. I guess I just assumed they were all relatively the same. My school day starts at 9am. The students have their first break at 11:00am this is just 30mins and includes eating and play time. We resume at 11:30-1:15, then we have our second break from 1:15-2pm again eating and play. Then we resume for 2-3pm. Students leave at 3pm daily and almost all teachers have left by 3:30pm. I'm 44 and it was the same when I was at school. Some schools have slight variations in times but we all have 2 breaks and the first session is 2 hours. We are not allowed to start school before 9am or finish after 3pm. We'll I'm not positive if private schools have the same requirements.

I went to kindergarten from 8 to 11, I think. I’m sure that I went to elementary school from 8 - 2 and middle school and high school from 8 - 2:30. But I’m 63. It’s been a while since. I don’t know how long my town’s school days are now.

My school day goes from 8-2:40. I’m teaching middle school so we have 3 teachers on our team. I get my first students at 9:45. They go to lunch from 11:40 -12:25. Then they have resource from 12:30-1:20. I have my last group from 1:20-2:40. I teach math to both sections and social Studies to only my morning group. My teaching partner teaches her homeroom Social Studies. I love my schedule!
