awesome content, doc! would it be possible for you to post a lecture about how you planned on the location of the implant placements? Also would be beneficial to post a lecture about each steps from planning the implant placement to delivery. I know it's a lot, so I won't be disappointed if it's not possible! Thank you as always

The implant locations depend on where there is adequate bone, both vertically and horizontally. It is preferred if some of the implants can be placed at or distal to the second bicuspids. Sometimes implants can be placed in the first molar area if there is enough vertical bone coronal to the maxillary sinus and lower inferior alveolar nerve. The more distal some implants can be placed, the more stable the prosthesis, both fixed (all-on-4) and SDI supported removable dentures. Thanks for the comment. Take your practice to the Top Tier. Nice Post. Glad to see the change you made to the life of these patients. I am a conservative dentist and do a lot to save teeth but yes I see through the idea of building the house over again rather than doing a patch work. In the end we want the patient to be happy with the teeth with low budget and maintenance . Sounds good !

@centerforard

Wait at least 3 months post extraction before placing the SDIs, unless there is enough interproximal bone between the extracted teeth to place the SDIs at the time of teeth extraction. Hey Steven, do you think in the future, there will be better dental innovations that can help regenerate lost material from decay and implants will soon be unnecessary in the next decades or is that just a dream that will never come true? I've heard recent news like stem cell regeneration and pulp regeneration, would these help with procedures like root canal last longer and fillings prevented from turning into crowns
@angelicafoster670

still long time to go before it becomes conventional treatment model.
@centerforard

I have read some things and attended some seminars on stem cell tissue regeneration, but I am not smart enough to tell how far it will go. Stem cell work seems to be like cancer research, i.e., it has been going on a long time, advances have probably been made but they still haven't figured it all out yet, and who knows how far it can go and how long it will take.

@@PirateTHESteam1 Lol, if you think going to the dentist and getting a filling or RCT will cost less than getting stem cell regenerative therapy, you're sadly mistaken.

So what option if cannot quit smoking. 3 tooth bridge in front is breaking. Have missing eye tooth and broken tooth next to it so 5-6 tooth bridge needed. Hope can save that broken tooth with crown as Angkor or would have to use back molar next to it. The other side 4 of 5 are ok

@@centerforard Sadly I’m afraid your right. Saw a retired dentist that practices part time yesterday. Opposed to these prominent clinics advocating take ‘em all out and do Ao4 he reviewed X-rays stating I have plenty&good bone on bottom. He feels the wobbling of front bridge a sign of age deterioration and anchor teeth appear solid. Likely have to do a crown or two but potentially will have 3 supportive teeth for proposed 6 tooth bridge for approx $3500. Aside from back molar RC needed on other side the other 5 teeth can be saved. This may prove to be a smokers saving grace avoiding extraction trauma and high % of implant failure. Though today I saw comments cautioning face disfigurement due to alterations involved lower arch/jaw? Is this a big factor for a 68 yr old guy?
