I ran 1.7 miles on the beach with my brothers once and I didn’t condition at all so that was the first time I ran in a while our time was 14 mins and 15 seconds

I remember this one HS cross country course where 70% of it was on loose desert sand. BRUTAL. Hated that course. Felt so great when it switched to packed gravel for final mile or so.

Love your videos man, I use to be a competitive swimmer. The next best thing to swimming is running especially right now. As a lifeguard who runs on the beach I can feel the pain of soft sand running lol. Everyone in the video are studds for doing this challenge!

I am a 6th grader going into 7th grade. I am an 800m runner. My pb in the mile is 6:05 and that was on a track. The splits for Zach are almost the same as mine were for my pb mile of 6:05. The fact that this guys ran a 6:06 on a sandy beach is just amazing. Love this channel. I am a big fan of you Nick.

I regularly run 20-30k on our local beach barefoot around 9-10 min pace per mile Never run an all out mile on the sand My best road mile is 6:32 as an older runner should be interesting to see how i go but if Nick goes 8:38 im guessing im going to be pretty slow 😂 I know its hard going in the sand especially at 54 years old Great video Loved it Looking fwd to giving it a go this week after seeing this

This event he had is one of the reasons we have to be on lockdown. Also, the lockdown lift was different. You still have to wear masks and social distance. idk if Nick doesn’t care about COVID but it sure looks that way.

In the late 70s and early 80s there was a weekly 3 Mile Run in San Diego Mission Bay Park. There would be 50 or so participants with people running from 40 minutes to down to occasionally 15 minute times. Afterwards we had a meal of hamburgers and soda drinks. Besides the run it was a a great place to meet girls
