The fourth video of this series covers Hitachi Elevator, an established Japanese elevator manufacturer. Although it does not have a presence in Europe or America, it can be found all over Asia (especially Japan and South-East Asia). The bell and chimes for Hitachi elevator has been relatively consistent over the decades.
This video has the sounds ordered in the following:
1. Modern Bell - Current chime popularly found in newer installations in Singapore, notably Changi Airport.
2. Classic Chime/Bell - This is usually found in posher installations, which is then superseded by the newer two-tone bell.
3. Dinner Bell - The oldest type of bell, usually found in the oldest of installations.
4. Custom Bell - Not the usual type of bell or chime. Found in Hong Kong and China.
5. Newer two-tone bells - Older than the modern bell, but still popular in recent installations. Have been spread over several eras.
6. Floor beeps - Used to indicate that an elevator has passed a floor. If Hitachi ever came to the USA, this would be it.
7. Door closing beep/Door buzzers - Usually found in Singapore installations, and some older Japan installations.
