I was 17 when I first heard Allan (40 years ago) and ever since I have been blown away by the emotion he manages to squeeze out of that guitar.

the thing holdsworth does at the end with his tremolo bar is SICKKK!

I love the slow scalar climb in the head. This is definitely one of my favorite Holdsworth songs, and there are so many I love. When I first heard Allan play on one of Jon Luc Ponty's albums I was hooked. Who is this guy? Then again on the UK album "In the Dead of Night". I have been a life long Alan Holdsworth fan.

+Scott Chisman Me too! I caught him on drummer Bill Bruford"s album and I was just blown away ! I went on a mission to find all the music I could with Holdsworth being a part of it.

+Scott Chisman You 're not alone . It seems to me the celebration of some ceremony in another galactic center to which not everyone can participate (it's the same thing that happens with the Allan spatial music) , but only a few adepts and initiates . Just then you can relax and enjoy this joyous music. Magnificent Steve Hunt on keyboards ( the song is his ) and the priceless Jimmy Johnson on bass . And ' this kind of poetry that makes you appreciate humanity , beyond the disasters, and makes you feel lucky to live . It's simply God at its best.

For me and many others Allan was the GOAT of guitar. Just as amazing is that he put together bands with musicians as good as he was, and that's saying a LOT. Great guitar solo in this one as always, but it's actually the more low-key solo of the three. The keyboard solo is amazing, and Jimmy Johnson's bass solo features playing most guitarists would be lucky to manage, truly breathtaking. For those just discovering Allan or still discovering, to hear him going nuts check out the solos from Tokyo Dream from this same album, and Devil Take the Hindmost from Metal Fatigue if you haven't already.

For me, sometimes even when I am listening to a fast part of a song it is mellow to me and there are some songs that I listen to and are fast but mellow to me

además de virtuoso genio, Holdsworth, es uno de mis guitarristas favoritos, su uso moderno elegante y sofisticado de la melodía y la armonía sobre todo, hace de su música, algo nuevo, reconfortante y fresco, siempre estará vigente.

Yeah, that's super messed up. BTW, *love* Jimmy Johnson's solo on this tune. It's so melodic, great tone, creative. He always finds a melodic thread through Allan's complex harmonies. He's the real deal, he is. One of my favorite bassists in any genre.
