#460 from The Hymnal 1982: Processional Hymn for the Seventh Sunday of Easter ("Sunday after Ascension Day") at St. Bartholomew's, an Episcopal church in New York City on June 5, 2011.
Calling to mind Jesus' promises to his disciples: "I will not leave you orphaned; I am coming to you." (John 14:18, NRSV) and "... remember, I am with you always..." (Matthew 28:20, NRSV), this 19th century hymn, written by William Chatterton Dix and set to music ('Hyfrydol') by Rowland Hugh Prichard, rejoices in the Ascension of Christ, observed three days earlier.
It can be found in Spanish as "¡Aleluya! Gloria a Cristo" and in Swedish as "Halleluja! Sjung om Jesus", and Danish "Halleluja! Syng om Jesus"
