I don’t think these dudes get enough credit for changing the game and shaping the nba how they did, if you look at the 90s 80s before they came in the league, the game was way more play inside than out. Guys rarely came down dribbled through their legs and pulled up for 3. “Handles and pulling up for 3” weren’t a thing n the prior generations, MJ was all midrange and played n the post, Magic and Bird were n the post, the league was dominated by big post players and everyone dribbled “fundamental”, Steph gets a lot of credit for it bc he was the 1st pure shooter who also pulled up off the dribble w handles but Kob AI T Mac all made having handles and pulling up off the dribble popular and the norm

I don’t believe anyone ever had a impact like AI did. Now of course Jordan is the obvious answer but I still think he’s number two to AI in that category. Yeah everyone wanted to be like Mike and get his shoes. AI literally had kids from all over the world wanting tattoos, cornrows, arm sleeved, cross over. Little white kids showing up to game with fake tattoos all over them, wearing an Iverson jersey, got the sleeve, head band and arm band on! Everyone wanted his shoes, everyone wanted to dress and look like him. Only player to never wear a suit! Changed how players dressed, the whole league tatted, everyone got arm sleeves. he’s just different!
