A crossover is not about making the guy fall, it's about getting separation and getting him to bite on the wrong lane while you go the other way. This is as solid of a crossover you can get. So all of you saying it was not that bad, Jordan recovered... blah blah, still he took the bite, went the wrong way and could not contest the shot early enough after the separation.

Dude i think nba really need to look at this crossover move, it does not matter wether you are MJ or complete defender or super human athlete, its the move that is really deceptive, if a person looks like he is going to go a certain direction of course you will try to run before him, thats what good defending is, trying to be one step ahead

LRSA bruh it’s nothing wrong with the move 😂 literally every offensive move on earth is hard to stop when executed correctly. Regardless if you’re MJ, Olajuwon, or freaking Gary Payton. I always though this could have been worse for Jordan. Allen has proven he can put opponents on the floor. I think the X-factor here is that Jordan took a swipe at the ball, or that Jordan was even thinking of stealing the ball. I believe Jordan would eventually focus on just trying to keep Allen in front of him. What an amazing player Allen was; he was another reminder to everyone that when you can create off the dribble you're going to cause havoc. Lethal penetration.

Real niggas know can't nobody beat Allen Iverson 1 on 1 in his prime. That makes him the best player ever imo
@ray-ow3uk

That's your reasoning? Last time I checked basketball was a team game. Pretty sure Kevin Durant could beat Lebron in a 1 vs 1. You saying he's better than a player like LBJ...?

Jeremy Soto It's a good analogy. Just because you could beat somebody on a 1 on 1 game doesn't mean you'd beat him in a 5-on-5 game which is what basketball is all about. KD, Kobe and Melo would all beat Lebron in a 1-on-1, but Bron's team record against them is damn one sided in his favor.

***** first off kd and melo couldn't beat LeBron 1v1. Prime kobe more often than not. Ai would eat LeBron. That being said LeBron is just too big for kd and a better shooter than melo.

@Shadow Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Iverson was a rookie, around 21-22 years old. Jordan was around 33-34 years old.

@@redred4594 I am just speaking what I am seeing, it looks like Iverson is on another planet technically. Although there are many greater players that Ronaldo (the brazilian) there were none that possessed his dribbling ability. I just like the movement aspect, its spectacular.

Lol, hell of a lot of people getting giddy over this. Every player gets crossed. It was a great move, sure, but Jordan still had the guy's number, and even Iverson knew it: "The craziest thing about it is, I hit him with my best move, and he still almost blocked it," Iverson said, laughing at the moment. "That's what was so crazy about it. That just let's you know how great a defensive player he was."

santino anthonyz - You better calm down son & tell that to Iverson, because those were HIS words. Size doesn't mean SHIT. It's all about talent. Muggsy Bogues took it to folk and he was 5'3"

A crossover is not about making the guy fall, it's about getting separation and getting him to bite on the wrong lane while you go the other way.
@JBloominonion

This just goes to show how good MJ was. Allen Iverson, one of the best ball-handlers in the game's history, crossed him up one time, Michael was still able to recover and contest the shot well, and this is still a clip being shown on highlight reels 20 years later. Jordan was untouchable, and this one one of the rare moments we saw Jordan as human basketball player instead of a basketball god.

What I liked about Iverson is that this little bastard could take bum ass teams and make them playoff contenders by pretty much single-handedly winning a majority of the games. He could defeat any scorer on any team he was playing against. If Reggie Miller put up 40, Iverson was putting up 45. He was amazing at that size. I've never enjoyed watching anyone play the game more.

That was also the last time he did that. Iverson gave him something new to adjust to. He adjusted. Respect to Iverson for giving the greatest something to think about.
