I'm proud of you!! I was struggling at my school for the whole week of doing the backing course. I could do straight line backing just fine. But I was terrible at the off set, and the 90 was ok. But somehow, come the exam day I was able to knock all 3 backings with no pressure. Like my mind finally clicked, I knew where I had to move my trailer. And if I didn't? Just get out and look. Walking to the back of your trailer to see visually where it's at and where it needs to go, it helps put everything into perspective. Very few passed their backing tests on the first try, so I was really proud of myself thats for sure!

Easy to do if your mind is focused on the task at hand, I did three in a row in The Trucking Academy, passed my test Monday. Class A Rookie Operator

I was about to say the same thing, a lot of these videos on KZitem make offset back & 90 degree Alley dock backing look easy but it's hard. I failed my AZ road test because I hit a cone when I was doing an offset backing. I'm gonna book more lessons for backing, before I rebook my next road test. I have to pass next time.

@@static_Tricolor_camry I agree, with you, my problem was the offset, imma tell you something on the off set on the DMV yard I learned in school stay close to the cone not enough to roll over them and you will get in that box, the off set was my struggle i knew the alley dock but I have to practice this week on both parallel and the alley dock it’s a video on here that I follow and it helped me the cones on our DMV yard is small and you can’t really see them

I see what he did there. He basically back into it, while staying straight with the trailer. So hard right, then get underneath. I’m going to try this. My current problem is that I hold the right too long. That I always have to do a pull up!

First off not an ally dock, it's a drivers side 90! But nice job! In real life pull ups are free and not counted. You could do a million no pull ups but first time you should have you'll always be remembered for that one time!

Hi there, thank you for this flawless video, could you please tell me the formula for doing the ally dock because he made several turns to the left and right, until I could no longer keep up with him to learn the maneuver.

Been driving 6 years, first 6 months I was terrified all the time backing in, always getting out to look if there was something on other side I couldn't see It took a couple years but now I just visualize the arc my trl tires are going to take and use my hand to maneuver the wheel back and forth to make it happen I do always set up not too far away from the hole, as in I dont go way out at a 45 angle if I'm in a truck stop and theres trucks in row on other side of me so I have room to get in without getting my truck out to close to them Sometimes I hit it on one shot sonetimee it takes me a pull up or two, always try to keep my sight side as close as I can to what I'm backing into, let's me know im far enough away from my non sight side
