Round 7 of the Florida Trail Rider's Hare Scramble Series. First time leading the pack into the woods! Wound up taking 2nd place! #ktm #ktm250xc #gopro
Glad you raced well and enjoyed our course,,, Daytona Dirt Riders takes great pride in giving the racers 90% single track and limited , boring , open field sections… just wait for the 2024 (4/27-28)Hare Scramble #10….we have a special section called Palmetto Hell… and we are incorporating a lengthy turn track… bring your A game !😅 Thanks Jeff VP DDR..

just a tip, shift up a gear and let that two stroke bog a little bit in the rough stuff, won't pull your arms as much and more torque

Yes, I’d be interested in a comparison video of timed laps in green vs white map. The white map feels more torquey to me.

I used to race FTR when Kenny Keylon , don’t if you remember. It was late 80’s. Then I switched to motocross. How are the races in Florida now for FTR. I’m 48 and I haven’t own or rode since 2000. I was going to return but yesterday the 11 I rented a bike to ride this sand track and it was like I never raced cause I sucked bad. Anyway I’ve decided since I need to be apart of the riding life . I’ve played a few different sports and only riding did I meet the kindest people that would give you the shirt on there back. Hopefully we’ll meet one day at a FTR race.🇺🇸💯🙏🤙✌️✊

No. I only started racing dirt and FTR last year. I did some road racing over a decade ago and that’s the extent of the racing I have done. Yeah, you lose that racing edge quick! Hope to see you at an FTR event in the future!

I bet. That was a fun section. I’d take a couple of those over the whoop sections. Hahaha.

Awesome what class was that ? I remember those days ,I got a holeshot every now and then, I remember one time getting the holeshot and just as I was settling in Kenny Keylon passed me like I was standing still and took the wind right out of my sail, I think I finished around 15th that day

I see that GNCC races are more organized and FTR race track layout are so tight and narrow. Do they have a money class ?

Not to my knowledge.

Do you typically run the white map? That is the slower map or for less traction. It looked like you were on the white map.
@JRideRR

Yeah, I primarily run the white map in races.

@@JRideRR Brotha are you for real ? That’s the grandpa map ! 🤣 In all seriousness you have not done test laps in each map? Now that would be a awesome video!! That is your assignment for the day ! I am pretty sure you would put out better times in the green map . You can use the white map later live in muddy sections during the race and go back to green when you have better traction! I had a minor setback so I have not actually ridden my bike yet other then around the house a few times to heat cycle it! Now you I got me thinking so I will do some comparison test laps between the two maps! My camera mount for my helmet should arrive by Friday !!

Good ride 👍. I'm still adapting to my KTM XC 2 smoker, I've been practicing in the green map and plan to race with the white one, maybe that'll work. And videos and pictures never do justice to some of the courses and tracks we ride.

Thanks. I find myself doing the same with the maps. 👍 True. I’ve thought about pausing these videos and pointing out how big some of these roots are.

Great ride, is it not common practice there to holler so the slower riders know your coming?
@JRideRR
Жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yeah, people holler all the time. I usually try a rev first. If that doesn’t work I’ll holler.
