Thank you for the video. My father sold AC's from 59-83. He got a 180 for my grandfather and after he used it my father used it for over 30 years. The tractor came off a pecan farm in Georgia and when my grandfather started using it oil usage was high. My father's dealership rebuilt the 180 to 185 specs. The 180 is rated at 2000 rpm's and the 185 is rated at 2200 rpm's. To my knowledge it's timing and turning up the injection pump for the most part. My neighbor still uses the 180 for farming. They were great tractors. A lot of those AC's including the D series with power director's were notorious for jumping out of 3rd gear. AC's were also notorious for under rating their power output. Pop sold D17's and they were marketed as a 50 HP tractor. They typically pulled 53 HP at the PTO. Engine output was 60 HP. Again thanks for the video. You have a keeper.

Notorious for popping out of gear? Only when idiots drove them and didn't shift them properly. It wasn't a flaw, you can't out design stupid

Loader was mounted by Farmhand. Hope that doesn’t crack like you indicated!

Whoever mounted that loader on that tractor doesn't know anything about Allis Chalmers tractors. It will tell you right in the owners manual, you need a support structure that goes from the loader back to the rear axle. You will eventually break the power director casting where it narrowed up in the middle.

a lot of people don’t have the manual because they are about 50 years old
