I remember my dad and uncle with the two row version on.our CA planting 60 acres each spring when I was young. Ours had the starter fertilizer attachment. Then later we'd side dress wirh a cultivator on our WD..

Me and my dad got grandads ol CA working a while ago, unfortunately it’s at the point that it’s more a show tractor than a field plowing tractor, but I’ll drive it with a tackle box and a fishing pole down a few roads to a pond making sure all the Yankees that have been moving into Huntersville NC that this still is the south

Good morning sir I have a question. One of my D17’s has a second Hydrolic valve on the left side of the seat but it’s frozen up and will not move. I have an extra transport valve for a D19 can I install it on the 17 to use for a second remote. And if so where do I plumb in the outlet for the return to the Hydrolic oil. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks

If the SC tongue was correct, would this 4-row drill planter work behind your CA, or would it be better served behind a WD? Great use of vintage equipment...thanks for sharing.

I use the same planter behind the CA. I filmed it last spring but I’m using the footage in a video that features the CA and it’s usage.

How for apart should I plant my sweet corn rows? I will be cultivating with my d-14 Allis Chalmes.

How much room would you like to walk between the rows? The true limit is on how narrow you can set your planter and cultivator. Farmers planted corn on 36”, 38” & 42” rows just so the horses had room between the rows. You could go down to 15”’s but that doesn’t give you much room to move around.
