WE ahd an early series D17 diesel. Fine tractor but unless you cooled it down slowly at the end of the day, you're replacing head gaskets.

Did you install the power steering pump yourself? I’m looking at a Allis Chalmers D17 series 2 and I don’t think it has power steering and if I buy it I’m gonna put power steering on it

Mine came with PS. You would need to source the Pump, lines and front Bolster Assembly to have PS. You might find it's not needed as they do steer pretty easy once moving. Good luck!

Allis chalmers are pretty good tractors but I prefer my farmalls. My farmall 450 is an absolute hoss at pulling and runs like a dream.

I grew up on Allis so that is the way I lean. Only been around a few H and M's. No 400/450's were in our area

What is the length for the middle arm on the d14? Mine broke tonight when I was pulling tree roots out of ground I want to work up.

The Top link is a common thing you can get at tractor supply. They are adjustable for different lengths. If you want a factory top link, they are hard to find

Is that front weight rack factory or did you make it. I have some of the front slab weights but can’t find the bracket
