Determine the maximum magnitude P of the loads the beam can support if the average shear stress in each pin is not to exceed 80 MPa. All pins are in double shear, and each has a diameter of 18 mm.

I Subbed nice work mate keep It up. My Problem was when I was calculating the moment I summed 30P. (was the first equation I started with). And I was lazy so I used 30P with X and Y equations as well.

why we didnt straight away take fcb = 25/3 *p and use it in the formula of shear stress which is force over area instead finding the resultant of ax,ay

why is the area 1/4pi d squared? Is that the area of the cylinder of what ?

Kidus Bahiru the pins are cylindrical so the cross sectional area of a cylinder is going to be a circle. The area of a circle is πr^2 or (1/4)πd^2.
