This video covers a solution to restricted settings for accessibility permission required by some applications on Android 13 and 14. Some apps require certain permission to function. Some of such accessibility permissions are restricted by default. If an app requests for such permissions then we get a message stating, "Restricted Settings. For your security, this setting is currently unavailable". Android 13 and 14 have a Restricted Settings feature that can help protect users from malware. Restricted Settings may appear when you try to grant sensitive or critical permissions to an app installed from a third-party source. But if we are sure about the genuineness of such an app asking for such permission then we can disable the restricted setting feature for that particular app. Once the restricted setting feature is disabled for that app, we can grant it the required accessibility permission for its functioning. But before granting permission to any application, be sure about the genuineness of that app. Once the restricted setting feature is disabled for an application, we can grant or revoke accessibility permissions for that app. But, we can not enable the restricted setting feature for that app again. We will have to uninstall that application from our device.
In this video, we have covered how we can disable the restricted setting feature for any application and grant it the required permission for its functioning. I hope this video proves to be informative and useful. Thank you.
