Hi welcome to Caribbeanj03. Thank you for coming into my kitchen with me. Today I will be making almond flour waffles.
Ingredients:
4 eggs
1/4 cup coconut oil
2 tablespoons coconut cream (heavy cream or almond milk)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups almond flour
3 tablespoons raw sugar cane (granulated sugar)
1 teaspoon baking powder
Add another 1/4 coconut oil to brush waffle iron
Toppings: maple syrup, fresh berries, nut butter, bananas (optionals)
Instructions:
1. In a medium bowl whisk together wet ingredients eggs, coconut oil, coconut cream or heavy cream or almond milk, vanilla extract.
2. Whisk in dry ingredients almond flour, sugar and baking powder until the batter is smooth. Set aside
3. Preheat waffle iron to medium-high heat for 5 minutes or until the light turns green and brush with coconut oil
4. Pour or scoop ½ cup of the mixture into preheated waffle iron, close and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until golden brown.
5. Repeat the process until all the waffles are cooked. Serve immediately or allow to cool completely, to refrigerate or freeze.
6. You can top with maple syrup, nut butter and fresh berries for serving.
