Please don't consider yourself a "foreigner" anymore guys, you are one of us now. The amount of effort and passion in learning Malaysia is how you guys touch our heart. We believe respect is earned both ways. The way you guys respect us as a country with all types of diversities and differences made you more Malaysians than some of us. Thank you very much, iChang, for the meaningful and beneficial video. As a language and Malay language and cultural instructor in America, the DEAI concept (Diversity, Equality, Accessibility, and Inclusiveness) has recently become a hot topic in our institutions. Coming from Malaysia, known for its diverse population, this concept wasn't a priority there. Despite our shortcomings, Malaysian society is generally friendly and hospitable, unlike the more reserved nature and individualism in America. Your insights on high communication skills and minimalism resonate, making Malaysians approachable. Your explanation about Malaysian people gives me ideas on conveying the true meaning of DEAI to my American students. I'm excited and grateful. 🙏 Hoping you stay in Malaysia longer and create more videos to help Malaysians understand and appreciate their uniqueness. Thank you.

In my opinion, there's so much more for both of you to see and to experience. I world like to suggest that this time, plan to travel slowly through the different states and their towns where you can truly immerse yourselves in the local food, culture and traditions. And please do not forget Sabah and Sarawak. All the best and travel safe. 😊

I enjoy listening to your perspective of the malaysian culture. Things we malaysians take for granted but are much appreciated by visitors. In fact most malaysians can speak with differing accents depending on whom they speak to, just so that the other person feels comfortable communicating. We can change modes. We can do proper english, chinese english, malay english, indian english and like wise we can do chinese malay, indian malay, proper malay plus all the state dialects. A very accommodating lot, we are 😊

As a Malaysian, the reason why Malaysian can understand a lots of accents is because the language we had to learn since childhood. Malay and English. This is from a malay perspective, malay language is like the basic language to understand other languages. Anyone who learn malay from young age can understand easily other languages without need to learn it for a long times. It used the basic abc as letters while firmly use basic pronunciation like ba bi bu be bo, ca ci cu ce co etc... Words like it, more , like etc.... doesn't spell in one pronunciation. We split it base on vowels. More - Mo Re, it- i-t, like - Li Ke.. This also the reason why Arabic, Japanese and Korean is easy to learn by Malaysian. For other foreign countries, because of our history being conquer by the western we naturally learn English. With English we Malaysia. Has easier time learn German, french etc...
