The Sears at the Milford Mall is closed down and empty. They turned the Auto center into a Bus Company garage. It's kind of Sad too see all these malls so empty and dead. I remember going to the mall around the holiday for shopping and it was jammed packed. It really felt like the holiday seeing so many people out and about. Now most people just do their shopping online

I wish people would go to the stores more often... We will probably see more traffic than usual come Friday. Lol. But Milford, that’s a good idea, I should head down that way and check out that mall! The holidays do not feel the same without busy stores. I miss waiting in lines some how. Lol.

This was my Mall. I was a mall rat here in 1982 when I was 15 years old. We used to sneak up on top of the roof and look down through the skylights at all the people in the mall. The other anchor store was called caldors. The mall ceiling was not white it used to be finished wood and it wasn't a tile floor it was actually rug. The most food that was there was pretzels and Orange Julius. To the right of Shaw's supermarket, there used to be a service merchandise that was a really really cool store.

I remember when malls used to be filled with people I know it's kind of weird but I miss those days

The Mia Moore was where the Reliant medical is in that used to be a Macy’s furniture and used to be a Cal doors. I guess you didn’t hear about that yogurt shop you walked by it was on the news that the owner had cameras in the bathrooms. And that fan zone is well known for selling bootleg material. The owner has been put in jail before for selling counterfeit materials. He was in jail for six years for it. So the mall is been getting kind of sketchy lately.

No way!!!! That’s some wild info. Mia Moore!! That’s what it was!! It was such a sketchy store too. I walked in there and was like “nope” and Macy’s furniture makes sense. I thought it was a Macy’s, but that didn’t seem right for some reason. I had no idea that guy was doing that. I didn’t even go in there. Jail time?!! Holy crap.

I'm surprised that this mall is still open. I'm also surprised that you find this mall in better shape than emerald square mall, seeing that the emerald is soo much bigger. Those doors you drove up to at the 3 minute mark used to be the tool and garden area of sears. I practically grew up in tough skins jeans from there. Fun fact.... I had my first date in that mall. Since she lived right down the street from there. I couldn't tell if Arby's is still across the street from there. Next time I'm at the Millbury mall I'll have to take the back roads to check. Anyhoo... Great video. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. 😊

It’s kind of wild how much better this mall is doing than the Emerald Square mall. The Millbury mall is actually great. I shop there often. I haven’t filmed it because it’s not enclosed, but maybe I should next time I’m there for haha’s. It’s worth showing off! Arby’s is still there too. I love that you have those memories!! I have a lot of fond memories here. As a kid, I always preferred Emerald Square!

So an Express “Factory” a lot of those are done to rid old products (obviously) but when they run low they are usually the first to close. So don’t be surprised if the Express store isn’t around in 6 months!! Ironically this mall is small enough that it doesn’t “feel” as dead as others. Could actually help them stay open a tiny bit longer as the bigger dead malls shut down. *Hearing Emerald Sq in Attleboro is on the fritz*
@theconfusingwords
Жыл бұрын
Wow!! I did not know that they are at risk of closing that Express for that reason! I’m glad it does have that size making it a little easier to “replenish” the shops and making it feel less bare…. The mall that I never got to go to! Growing up I started noticing this mall on my drives back and forth between Springfield and Cape Cod, especially back when i was in 8th grade! Ironically it was during the winter too! (Late 1999 early 2000/spring 2000). It was always a big landmark on the mass pike in my opinion! Ironically this video is in the month of December in Massachusetts! It brings me back! It seemed like it was such a happening mall back then! Teens could go there to meet people! I always thought i could meet a pretty girl in there or something lol. these malls were big back in the day! i haven't forgotten. thank you for these videos! =)

Another depressing trip to the mall. The days of malls thriving are gone and it's sad to see the structure in bad shape. It's obvious they don't care anymore and are just riding it out until it closes for good. You can't have a mall and not have an Orange Julius. It's practically required. LOL. I can see some small glimpses of Toy's R Us in that Big Lots. A lot of them had that plain wall when you first walk in and then when you turn the corner, boom, toys everywhere. Not sure if that was intentional or not. Is it weird that I kinda miss loud crowded malls, having to wait in long lines, and hoping to find that last minute gift? Christmas shopping has become so boring now. I kinda wish something would happen to all of the major online shopping sites like a strike or something that would force people back into the malls. Am I crazy in the head to think like that? LOL.
@theconfusingwords

No I feel the same exact way you do, I miss the long lines, I miss the crowds, I hate when the stores don’t feel “alive” in a way. It doesn’t FEEL like the Christmas holiday shopping season at all most places I go. It’s soooo lame.

It’s weird that I actually got progressively more depressed as I continued shopping in Auburn. I was so happy to switch gears and go retro video game hunting after. Lol. But yes, I remember that entrance being plain and bam all the toys you could want lol. I think that one bugged me more because I used to go to that Toys R Us all the time- I even had friends growing up that worked there as teenagers. They said they hated working there. I was like how could you hate it lol

@@theconfusingwords I had heard that to, that it wasn't fun working there. Probably having to deal with karens all day, screaming kids, and picking up the mess they made.
