All these years later I keep coming back to this performance. Fred's vocals were never better than in this era, and the energy here far, far outshines the studio version. Absolutely crushin' it.

It was only the best song because Mike Smith was involved with it. Yes I am partial to him because I grew up with him and Baltimore County. Mike Smith is badass. He's a showman and he has skill. No doubt about it! And if people want to run their mouth I challenged them to play up against him you put me to shame when I went to play Fade to Black with him one day and his bedroom. I was amazed at his talent at such a young age. This man was built for music

AS much of a fan I am of Wes Borland and all his projects, Mike smith really did make quite an impression with limp at that time. he brought a style to their sound that was not like what they had been up to that point. Altho RMV felt a little empty to me personally his style helped.

As much as I love Wes Borland as a guitar hero, but I gotta give mike smith a shiiiiiit load of credit!! he was fuckin badass in his time in limp bizkit! Those riffs on that album were badass! It was better than gold cobra IMO

@@marked4death076 Perhaps some riffs but remember that after CSATHDFW they released New Old Songs, so Wes probably didn't write for a long time before he left.

Most of the album was done by Fred, Sam and and an engineer. Mike only contributed to like 5 songs on the album. Some of the stuff like cowgirls from heaven, poison ivy and masturbation were his high points but strangely didnt make the final cut.

Fred Durst LB stood up to Metallica Lars Ulrich about the Napster Dispute went on to give a free tour nationwide in 2000 back 2 basics tour I was there 4400 fans @ Kansas city Missouri Cypress Hill opened and Fred personally walked the entire line of fans ..before the show. I met FD, to say hes anything but legendary is an insult.

I'm listening to Result May Vary a good six years removed from its release now... Well it's a damn solid record, a major break from their earlier work, all right, but it's the good stuff, and Fred never sounded better. Wes or no Wes, I love this band, and the tour with Mike Smith on guitar was balls out awesome, just look at 'em boys go \m/

So many favourites during this time in music.. look at the banner “coming up next”. Early 2000’s was the last of the greeeat shit. It was a farewell to the 90’s inspired with a twist of total angst. Great stuff. Not the biggest Fred fan here, but I appreciate some of the tunes. Behind blue eyes, boiler, obviously rolling. Ehhh, gold cobra ❤️
