In this video, I begin the second part of my Crownline Boat repair where I tear down the transom assembly to remove the Gimbal Ring to get it repaired. I remove the lower shift cable, exhaust bellows, u-joint bellows, trim limit switch, trim sender, bell housing, and lower pin that holds the gimbal ring in. Many of these pieces should be replaced as part of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program but it is very typical for the replacement to occur only after a failure.
