The high country is a special place for me , and you bring back those precious memoirs to me .I remember when my father use to have a blanket for his 4x4 40 years ago. I use to laugh at him .. @@timbates4wdadventures we did the lamb shanks and the chicken Parma. They were great, but I did burn a few of the chips on the Parma cook up as they fell to side of the trivet. May have had too much bottom heat.

You’re video got me inspired to get out , do some exploring and cook a few jaffles ( baked beans and cheese) As per your suggestions l made a list and menu, packed all my food in containers, organised my wood gather kit ,bombed up on paper & Digital maps . Headed off to the Brisbane Ranges and Lerderderg Park . Ticked all boxes ✅ and was having a cracking time. Decided to have a jaffle for smoko..... it was then l discovered that l had left the jaffle iron at home .😢😂

Lovely video, Tim. It’s now in the high 30s in the UAE, I may camp this weekend but if I do it’ll certainly be the last one till at least October. I can live vicariously through your trips till then, I hope. Loved the steak - was a bit worried till around 13:40, but the garlic made its appearance in the end!

@@timbates4wdadventures no worries mate ill wait for the review. I couldn't get any good brand tyres when i was on holiday in Queensland over xmas so got a cheapo set of muddies for the first time. Didn't think they'd last the Birdsville track on the way home as we had to go that way due to covid in nsw. They've held up better then i thought but after 30 thousand ks they're not far off being replaced, especially coming into winter. So im watching everyone's reviews on muddies nowadays

Hi Tim Quick question - have you experienced mold on you awning? What did you use to clean it. I bought a new arb awning, have used it twice and put it away dry and seem to have mold spots down one side of the awning. Quintessentially the side where the 2 zips were.

Mate, I really want to get into to this stuff, but I thought that in this country you couldn't just rock up to a nice spot by a stream and say, "yeah, I'll camp here". I thought there were rules against free-camping wherever you liked? If there aren't, then I'm left wondering why I didn't start sooner!

Hey Tim, another ripper vid mate. Im thinking of getting one of the roof racks you did the video on. Can you tell me if the rack you have in this video is the old one or the narrower one and also do you notice any difference between the 2 with wind noise?

Crackin! Video mate. I just got back from a 5 day trip up there. Got down to minus 7.9 on the first night and Minus 6.9 the second in the same spot. Love the High Country mate and every time I see your trips just makes me want get back out there. Cheers again for the video. DJ
