Oh please can you record the entire book?! It's a great story and you've got the voice for it! 🙏🏼

I loved this! More Tom Robbins, please! Actually, when I was 18 I took a road trip across the United States with my boyfriend and read Robbins’ ‘Another Roadside Attraction’ out loud as we went. ‘Even Cowgirls Get The Blues’ is probably my favorite, but I hadn’t read ‘Roadside’ yet and it just seemed perfect for our trip (in which we went out of the way to stop at Wall Drug, a tourist trap that had fantastic, hilarious, wooden signs on the side of all highways for hundreds of miles... at one point we thought we were going to have to miss it because we had to turn off the highway we were on and still hadn’t reached it, but after the turnoff there was a very large wood sign that read, “All Roads Lead to Wall Drug!”). 😂 ‘Cowgirls’ would have been good if we were hitchhiking (a couple years later I made a similar trip driving by myself and kept myself entertained by listening to the original ‘Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy’ radio programme-that was cool!). Another time (and a different boyfriend), I read Alan Ginsberg’s (long) poem ‘Kaddish’ out loud. Unfortunately, I don’t have a cool accent and I don’t love my voice, so I doubt I’ll ever make a KZitem channel like this, but remembering those times makes me kind of want to. Anyway, thanks!

Did the author write this after finding some Magick Mushrooms?

More likely peyote buttons, he wrote about them often in some of his books.
