It's an interesting detail that you decided to not avoid the fall of Constantinople, but made it so that Byzantine state was reborn. Good job!

It wouldn't be called the "byzantine republic" but instead either some variation of Romania (the other Romania would probably be named something else) or some version of "Greece" or "Hellas"

Please do an alternate version where the world wars were just Roman civil wars, after which Rome expanded to the moon and then beyond the solar system and romanises beautiful alien women.

That's... Actually what it really is in real life from a certain point of view. Think about it, Germany and Austria claim to be the roman empire (holy roman empire, also called the first reich) Italy in ww2 with a few italian states before the unification (like with Venice), france claiming the title as well especially with napoleon and much earlier than that, from Charles the great, there's greece for obvious reasons, the ottoman empire, who's sultan claimed himself of being the new caesar of Rome (Qaisar-i-Rum) contested with Russia claiming the title of third Rome, then we have spain with the most legitimate roman title even to this day (or at least as it is considered), even the British claimed to be roman successors at some point, hell, even the USA are considered many considers it a reflection of Rome even though they never claimed the title of roman successors, the only actual part of the world wars which was not between two or more roman claimants was the pacific theater

i think its impotant to point out that the byzantines and romans in general had tendencies to absorb and romanize populations and also move them around in order to use them militarily, which is why the byzantine border would probably be extended further in the balkans and many of the states would have different identities, u could expect a serbia in anatolia, or a turkey in albania
