@@watchartsci my attempt at a joke did not work. Not meant to make you upset. A hulk is the previous generation with green bezel and green dial with a 40mm maxi case. Comparing the resale value of a Rolex to other watches may not be realistic due to the significant price difference. For the price of one Submariner, you could acquire four watches of similar quality from other brands, or alternatively, you could opt for a timepiece of considerably higher quality from brands like Moser, Lyrique, Parmigiani, etc., for the equivalent cost.
@watchartsci
Ай бұрын
Seba, the resale price (values remain constant) was only part of the point. The comparison was in terms of what you could get for roughly the same price (MSRP) in terms of "divers." The UL looked like a good match, but of course the resale price is wholly different from that of the Rolex culture, where buying used makes little sense to me because the price for a new one is the same or less than a used one. Take care, Bill

Hi Bill, the Sub you showed is not a “Hulk”. The Submariner you showed, its nickname is a “Cermit”. The Submariner “Hulk” which is discontinued has a green dial and bezel. There is also a Submariner “Kermit” that has also a green bezel, but an aluminum one, the “Cermit” has a ceramic bezel.
