Thanks and well explained , I just fitted one of your alternator upgrade kits to my 6BT, I fitted a 12V 100 amp delco remy 24 SI , it’s charging a lithium bank and I just ran motor for 30mins to test it and at 1100 RPM it put in a consistent 95-100 amps , I was more than impressed , I had to chop a bit out of my steel belt gaurd and also drilled a bunch of holes in it so alternator could suck some cooler air , I was going to fit a 28 SI but after how well this performed I don’t think I will need to , have a great day .

Thanks so much Justin... and thanks for the help on the phone the other day! I was worried about the 24SI being just a bit longer than the 22SI, but it did indeed fit on the 6CT series 1995 vintage engine. You guys always impress me with your "customer service"! (My headache turned out to be getting the timing belt cover off! I accidentally rounded off the head on the screw that holds the cover bracket at the alternator mount... Ouch. Quite a pain, finally removed (sawed) the screws holding the bracket to the cover itself, and had to use heat to get the damaged screw loose, so I could replace it!) If you do another video on charging systems, please go into the comparisons of the 24 and 28SI... I am curious about adding a diode down the road, and it looks like maybe I can get by with the 24SI if I use the ignition wire diode?
