These arguments for and against are tiring. I love love love Jerry. There is no substitute. I love love love Trey. He is one of a kind. They are both guitar gods who could inspire tectonic shifts in the earth's crust. I've seen both bands more times than I can count and love both equally, but in different ways. It's like poo pooing Thai food because you love Japanese. Jerry would have appreciated Trey's playing had he ever went to a show. No one, ever, is going to play a GD song better than Jerry. And Jerry couldn't drop a Tweezer bomb quite like Trey. Peace, love, and Jam

right on! its such a bs attitude about music. this ones a better drummer, that ones a better guitarist. People need to wake up and realize that music influences us all differently and what may resonate with some, may not resonate with others but its not right or wrong. and there is no music that you are garaunteed a ticket to heaven for listening to. all those guitar notes same the same from a mile away from a large festival on a mountain in Vermont. ribbons of sound weaving their way through the hills.

+TheGoKitchen I've heard the banter and I'm a thinker. Reasons people talk/fight/debate aside, I think that people who are strongly for one band more than the other just have all they need so have not sought out more music. Then they have one favorite. (It's often the deadheads against phish though, rare to find a phishhead who doesn't also love the dead). Going with your strong point, I feel super lucky to have the wealth of the music of both bands, that is just so much high quality song and show right there. Have a happy day ♥

Internal conflict with a "higher power", but also clever and subtle with relevant wisdom for the world. "I was born to be a bachelor", which is soon followed with the line about trying to catch her, which is likely atheism, accepting that there is no god, and the struggle for spirituality as an atheist Also, a lot of this is about self-identify and the struggle in finding it in a positive way
