Great video comparing wedge style Campers. One thing to note about the Harker that wasn't mentioned in the video is you don't have to duck underneath a bar to climb up into bed. You just walk right in. That is really appealing to me.

Nice video. I also have a Alu Cab rooftop tent. How do you like the Alu Table,? I am doing the tray slide in mine to stow it. Also with the canopy camper can someone sleep down below in the truck bed area? Thanks for sharing. Tom

Update 1/24/2023: The issue of the hatch swinging open was for me to use a file to widen the latch hole and move the latch closer to the jam. I do think Harker could have and should have been more involved in this process. Also, they now have the bars that will let me mount items to the L-Trak outside. I get the supply problems that cause long delays. Using a 5 star evaluation system, I give the company overall 4 stars and 5 to the quality of the camper. Slow response simply cost them a star. UPDATE 12/16/2022 Well they sent me new plastic thumb screws. Just like the ones I have, so no expectation that this alone will the hatch flying open. I will figure it out. Quick review on this product and company. I've been a nice guy about this but I now feel its time to share some information. Installed EDC on my 2018 F-150; in Bountiful UT by Harker; that was about 3 months ago. My rear hatch has never stayed latched while underway and after promises to send me an actual permanent fix, has not happened. I had to duct tape it closed while traveling home from Utah. Another issue is this: it comes with L-brackets front to rear at the top and bottom of each side. Three months later they cannot provide me with bars to use the brackets. See 1/24/2023 update

Nice rigs, good review. I love my GoFast Camper - but if I wasn’t using my truck to haul stuff, too, it would have been an AluCab, and no going over the tailgate all the time. Camp on!

Another thing missed about the Harker. I’m 6”5 and the sleep platform is 10+ inches longer sleep then all the other campers I’ve seen and my kids can sleep in my 5 foot bed since it extends over the tail gate.

Personally I don't understand the Harker EDC. Seems like it allows for the most wind, dust, and cold intrusion. The Harker is almost like an open tent even if you stake down the canvas. No matter if you have a heater inside it will be fighting cold weather the entire time and the heater will run inefficiently.

I think the Harker has great potential but I agree it is less buttoned up compared to the other 2. However the design, room, and potential has me very interested. I can see future development of a possible winter enclosure option that say zips in and seals to a closed tailgate while still allowing that cool annex overhang to provide some weather protection when getting in and out. It's new but I really think the Harker EDC has a lot of potential. And I imagine with a little ingenuity a person could probably figure out a few ways to button up the current version rather inexpensively. I'm thinking industrial velcro to seal the annex to the downed tailgate and then just strap the lower section to your hitch safety chain holes or bumper. The other 2 are also awesome products imo and the GFC is also right up my alley but the AluCab though awesome is too pricey for my budget.

It appears that the go fast has a condensation problem in the colder weather?
@chasehelmick6025
6 ай бұрын
Every camper or rtt is going to have condensation issues in cold weather. I had a fully built out sprinter van with 3m thinsulate and a diesel heater and the only way to prevent condensation was to turn on the roof fan, which also reduced how warm you could get it inside. I think the GFC problem is a bit blown out of proportion and from people that have never cold camped in anything else prior.
