This is the kind of project I would have liked to build after I retired.That was 10 years agoI have always liked working on cars and being a hands on guy.Wish I would have known about these cars 10 years ago. At this point I feel like it’s kind of late to be tackling something like this.I have to admire these guys they are real craftsmen.

Its never too late , if you have a son grand son or son in law or even a daughter you can build one for them and have the pleasure of making it. It will give you motivation in your old age . Im retired and I have built one here in NSW Australia .Presently I'm the lone ranger here as I believe I have the first one in this state.

Ha, yes the internet is an amazing place. The tail is by far the trickiest part to make look right. This one is by 3rd version. Maybe someday I will make a 4th and finally get it to look right. LOL.

What's the power to weight ratio of these things and how does that compare to an average road going car ?
@stevevinson6030
Жыл бұрын
Weight is about 266 pounds, power about 10hp. So underpowered, but that is a good thing, as they are dangerous if driven without caution.

Oh, yes, I freely admit that I am a grinder. I am improving though, the last few welds on my latest build didn't need to be ground down, woot woot!

Oh god.... this guy welding is the guy running the shop? Oh dear.. that must of been a nightmare to clean up and smooth out after a horrible welding puddles all over. That big ac setting where way off for that job.

Thanks for watching, we were both learning to weld the aluminum and setting up the machine is a big part of that. Cheers
