She needs to work on the lack of flow in her jumps as well as making her arms less wail-ly to be more competitive. Otherwise, she stands the best chance against Eteri girls.
@Bambi469

less wail-ly? you mean AS wail-ly as the Eteri girls always are for no apparent reason? LOL, Alysa has her own bright persona and she was feeling the music all the way. Wail-ly arms gives you extra imaginary points if you are Russian, apparently...

I mean obviously this is not bad Skating. But I don’t see her making the top half in the Russian nationals. And I mean it. Top half. She’s notably slow for a skater of this caliber. Program is not smooth. Transitions are like almost she’s making it up as she goes along. I hope as the season goes along she gets better, maybe she would make it to the second third of the Russian national kind of better I don’t see her doing any better than that ever. Sorry. I’m happy to be pleasantly surprised

Lmao, people predicting her life, but then claim only non-Russians, Americans in particular are predicting people’s lives and saying stuff like that. They said Trusova would lose her quads, and that queen hasn’t yet, so them saying Alysa won’t improve much more is just gonna backfire when she does. She also is going for the long-game, be a top US Lady-and she is, make it to Beijing and focus on 2026, so much time to improve, and she is right on track. She never said knows or hopes to beat the Russians. I’m sure she’s thinking and hoping that one day she might be able to win against them, she obviously wants to get better, and you can see vast improvement-not perfect, but definitely a lot more, but she is just living in the moment, and says focusing on being the top US Lady is her priority, and she is rn. Her team is trying to make reasonable goals for her, and she seems to be right where she needs to be. She wanted to be fourth here, and ended up in fifth, so not too far off, and is right there.

Russian corruption? Programmes of Russian skaters are objectively more difficult and its representation is clear. Alysa and Young are always well evaluated (sometimes even overrated) by judges who support your point of view and do not want to see a Russian podium.

I think a clean Bradie Tennel would beat this program. Certainly Bradie's SP from last years nationals is better than this program. If you see them in person, Bradie is MUCH fast across the ice and that makes a huge impression when you're in the arena. Not bad but, if she wants to catch any of the Russian Ladies, she'll need to be perfect and hit her 3A in the LP
@kyokonkyochin3648

Bradie Tennell is who US Figure Skating wants to be the face of the USA team but she’s simply not good enough to compete with the Russians. At last year’s nationals the judges didn’t deduct points that international judges will.
