I call you young lady because you are young. I'm 73 years old. I am renovating a house that is 120 years old. I am doing all the work myself, like you. I think you are an amazing young woman and very inspiring. Also, like you, I am not a social person. I never get lonesome. I have been called a hermit and a loner and a free spirit. I just feel like me. You inspire me because you live your life for yourself. Keep doing whatever you want to do. I also understand you not wanting a patreon account. I don't want anyone paying my way. I don't give anyone the right to feel like they are entitled to have a say in my life! I enjoy your channel and you have taught me several things. Thank you for that. I live in Texas, USA. I know our situations are quite different, but I feel a kinship with you.

Yes, I also am not a social being, prefer my alone time without interference from someone else telling me how I should be, what I should do. I am 65 and recently purchased the old, falling down, much needing love and care home I've been renting for the past 9yrs...Little by little I will renew what has been ignored for decades. It's gets harder as you get older, you're not as strong or as fast but at the same time it gives you confirmation that you can do anything you put your mind to and age is just a number.

YT recommended your channel to me because I subscribe to the Dutch guy rebuilding some sheds in the Italian alps. I've been startled by how different the comments are. He is treated reverently, and while most of your followers admire you, too, there are so many patronizing remarks. The ones who criticize you for wanting to build a "cute" home, the people indignant that you dare to be annoyed at getting the same elementary advice over and over again. The worst seem to be men who are just IRATE that you are not noticing their comments and gratefully following their advice. I wonder what is the reason that difference, hmmmmmm...?

In regard to people making suggestions I truly believe for the most part that people are good and just want to be helpful (of course some may think their opinion is the best and be conceited about it) but when viewers watch their favourite KZitem creators we in a sense invite those creators into our own homes so in a way it's easy to get invested or actually feel concern or feelings of friendship for creators we continually bring into our 'home'.

Can I have my say on Microcar? BAN THEM! Oh yes, now Rosie is probably going to be furiously angry! But think about it, not everything that's cute is always good. As a cyclist, I have to breathe in diesel exhaust from 2-stroke engines. And they are dangerous to collide with, have seen accidents with them and they do not protect anything. Ordinary diesel cars have particle filters and emit almost zero harmful exhaust gases. there are cute ordinary cars that you can rebuild into an A-tractor and tractor license is easier and cheaper than regular B license. The best thing is to get a regular B driver's license and rent a car when you need to. Now there will probably be a lot of comments, ban Micro Cars! (sorry Rosie)

Gosh, extroverts can be so exausting in their ignorance about people who are not like themselves! Do they totally lack imagination?! I would never want to change myself into that kind of person, I'm totally happy about the way I am. I love everything about your videos!

Rosie is just a natural presenter.I really appreciate her Honesty, simplicity, perspectives on life and scenarios. What is more she is well educated and read and a free spirit. How many of us possess those qualities? This channel deserves so many more subscribers it is way better than many other pretenders to the Off Grid KZitem Vlogs.I wholeheartedly appreciate her integrity regarding Patreon/Amazon etc. Then there is her wonderfully dry and well delivered sense of humour. All this recognised by a 67 year old who apparently isn'tconsidered old according to Google unitill I am 76!!!!

I have just discovered your channel and have been binge watching! So, I am watching this video which you posted 3 months ago, so I don't know if you will see my comment. I love seeing you travel by bike and with a trailer carrying all you goods (groceries, wood!). My initial attraction to your content was seeing a woman doing the renovations. I also am a woman and you are inspiring me to "give it a try". Why not? What is there to lose? I walked the Camino in Spain as a pilgrimage and I came home with a lifetime mantra: You can do anything if you give yourself enough time and grace. Bravo for your efforts and showing us a slice of your life. Best wishes from Michigan, USA

Thank you, your honesty is refreshing and made me smile. I realise the videos are for consumption but ultimately you do you and if people don't like it they don't have to watch.

I was so excited to see you had a new video for us. Because I found your site quite by accident and then binge watched it over three weeks, I found I really missed you . Thank you for sharing even more information about your life. I for one am just happy watching you work on your home and garden. You are so self sufficient and comfortable with who you are, and that alone is refreshing. As for whether you are young or not…well I am 76 and in comparison you are very young. So tell your sister not to dispare. I hope some wealthy person decides you need your special vehicle, but until then you are doing just fine on your own. I hope you have a wonderful 2024. Happy New Year.

"Some people don't seem to understand how drones work...". It's me! I didn't have a clue so thanks Rosie for that explanation: I was always worried you'd fall off your bike (I'm actually an idiot 😅)! I'd love to see a conversation between you & Ariel! She's brilliant & like me, is a total book dragon. Loved the Q&A, thanks for making it! P.S. ever considered a stove fan? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hi Rosie, Happy New Year 2024 XX I also don’t usually watch Q&A videos but because I have been watching you since Day One of your UTube journey, I did watch your video - as I never miss any. I’m certain that many of your subscribers do not intend to ‘lecture’ or ‘treat you as an alien’ - maybe we get so involved in what you are doing and we have done similar things and found helpful ‘short cuts’..or maybe just share an experience and its ‘ups and downs’. Also us ‘introverts’ and those who are alone, are elderly or lonely or whatever just enjoy sharing in your renovation work. Your home is looking wonderful and I am looking forward to seeing the next video and how the office and future planning are going (just couldn’t finish this one ) From PD in the UK XXXX

She is probably in her mid-thirties because she can still laugh about being labeled a young miss by some but Google knows she has lost the "bloom of youth!" Yeah, I would reckon that she is a beautiful 35! She is a classic lady who will never really get old because she has a n adventurous spirit!
